Nokia 6682 (AT&T)

I've gone through several phones the past year, and so far this has been the best ...

Smaller than the PDA phones, I find the size of this one just about right ...
It has all the features that I am looking for a phone: Camera, plays MP3, organizer, Bluetooth compatible, voice-dial, and internet browsing with capabilities to view your personal e-mail (Yahoo, Earthlink) ...

So far the only things that I can complain about would be camera cover which you would slide in order to activate the camera/video feature. I used to have the phone in my pocket and there are times that I would accidentally open it. I would recommend a casing for this (Cingular casing that you can also get cheaper around here).

Okay, before I even get started, let me preface this statement by saying that I work in a Cingular store and have had quite a few phones and have played with almost every phone Cingular has carried the last couple of years.
That said, this is, hands down, the best phone I've ever played with. Here's why:
It may not have a full keyboard or touch screen like the PDA phones do (i.e. Cingular 8125, Palm Treo) but it's also not as big and bulky and the predictive text makes typing even a semi-lengthy message or e-mail a breeze. If you do a lot of lengthy e-mails for business or something similar you might want to opt for a full QWERTY keyboard but for the majority of us that's hardly nessecary. Not to mention that this phone can perform pretty much any function a PDA phone can and, in my humble oppinion, is easier to use because the Symbian OS on the phone is far less complex than a Windows Mobile or Palm OS. It actually navigates as easy if not easier than a lot of other phones on the market so there's not much of a learning curve needed.
The screen on this phone is as clear and crisp as any I've seen and large enough to show off the 1.3 Mpix pictures beautifully. The screen is also wonderful for showing off the great videos the phone records in full, panoramic screen mode.
The hot-swappable memory card slot is great! I don't have to take my whole phone apart just to pull out the memory card when I want to add stuff to it which I do a lot because I love using the mp3 player built into the phone. I've got a 512M card in it and have about 100 full length songs, at least a dozen or so 30 sec ringtones, about half a dozen pictures and two or three games on it and they all run beautifully. The only thing some people might want to watch out for is that the phone will multi-task and leave some applications open if you just hit the end key to try and get out of them. With too many other apps running in the background the phone will have trouble opening more apps so be sure you actually exit rather than just hitting end.
Finally, the feature that will make or break a great phone is if it actually performs as a phone. The 6682 has no problems in this area. The speaker independent voice dial makes calling a breeze and once you're talking to someone it holds onto the signal tooth and nail. I was even able to take a phone call in the elevator of a local hotel and couldn't hear any dicernable difference from being outside in the open. Using this as a phone is another place where the size becomes a factor because the smaller size makes it a lot easier to hold while making calls.

This is a fantastic phone, and it seems I discover something new on it every few days, which makes me like it even more.

PROs
-Excellent battery life. Better than my old Nokia 6200 ever was, and this one does a lot more!
-Use straight MP3 files as ringtones (read: NEVER buy a ringtone again); came with the USB cable to connect to the computer
-For a phone, the camera is fantastic
-Great-sounding speaker for the speakerphone/MP3 player
-Very comfortable keypad
-The camera lens is protected by a plastic flap to keep it from getting scratched
-Solid phone that does not feel like I will break it just by using it

CONs
-Some may complain of the phone being a bit large, although for a size comparison, it is only a hair larger than something like a Motorola Razr phone inside a protective case.
-When the phone is carried in a pocket, it can be easy to flip the camera cover down when reaching in the pocket, which engages the camera and unlocks the keypad

I bought this phone while in search of a mobile that did it all, and looked good doing it. This little guy plays MP3's, (great speaker) has a 1.3 Megapixel camera, (awesome quality) EDGE support, can read PDF's, DOC's, and Excel spreadsheets, has a brilliant screen, and best of all the battery lasts for days and days. THe call quality is superb as well. The only thing that may put off some people is the keypad, which takes some getting used to. To top it off, it has expandable storage as well!! A great overall phone!

The 6682, the Americas version of the 6681/6680, is compact, similar in features to the Sony-Ericsson k750 or w800, except for SE's 2MP camera and increased internal memory. Sporting a gorgeous, large and colorful 262K screen, video editing software, audio player and exceptional reception, this is one of the best Nokia's I have ever used. Some may complain about the small keys and lack of internal memory, but if you are seeking an easy-to-use candy bar style smartphone with fast EDGE data downloads, a free Opera browser that re-sizes your screen to fit most websites and the ability to read Word, Excel and PP files, check out this phone.

I love the large display screen. The 1.3 mp camera is excellent for taking high quality digital photos. I took a picture while driving on the highway then viewed it on my pc and it is flawless, not grainy like other cell phone cameras. The only thing that I dislike about it is there is not alot of space available on the phone itself. A multimedia card is a must to enjoy the features. Great phone--physical appearance and features!!!! If you want it you will not be disappointed!!

The Nokia 6682 is a great phone! The 1.3 MP camera is very clear and the design of the phone is great. Though a little large, this smartphone is capable of doing a majority of things. In comparision to the Sony Ericsson S710, the Nokia 6682 is evidently superior. I bought this phone from Cingular for $300 with a 2 year contract, wish I found one on eBay. I could've gotten one cheaper and without the contract terms. All in all, this phone is great.

This phone is awesome. Its attractive a full-featured. The only things this phone lacks is support for GSM 900 Europe networks and a reasonable memory card format. The RS-DV-MMC is not the e easiest thing to come by. On the other hand, the camera takes good pictures and has a 6x digital zoom. As far as the features go; if you need a phone that will open Microsoft Office documents, PDF files, ZIP files, play music and videos, edit media, handle e-mail accounts, synchronize with your computer via USB or Bluetooth, and handle up to a 2GB memory card; this is the phone for you. Because this phone uses the Symbian 60 OS, a large number of programs are available for download that will increase the capabilities of the phone. this phone is definitely a smart look for someone who wants smartphone capabilities without getting the standard Palm or Blackberry.

i loose one of these phones all the time, this will be my 5th nokia 6682, and even though they are a bit pricey, they are the best phones for everything, including photos.

I like this phone very much. Really I love it because of it's functions. I decided to buy it because love it's clear and sharp camera, also I love it's clear and loud speaker and I really adour it's shape.

I bought the used NOKIA 6682 a month ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

Chose this phone because wanted a larger than normal screen to see my calendar items and I prefer the candy-bar style phone to the flip models. This phone is solidly made and has a very good camera with flash and a few other photo options. The signal is strong in fringe areas and the voice quality is very good. Only complaint is the the sliding door for the camera on the back could be more tightly hinged so that it doesn't slide open and start the camera operation. But now I have the phone in a holster case so don't have that problem. Phone is a compromise between a full-fledged Blackberry type PDA and smaller phone-only models. Keypad navigation is excellent. Screen colors are crisp and bright.

I've been an loyal Nokia user for over 5 years now, from previous experience with Nokia, I have no doubt that this new update will out perform my current phone (Nokia 6800).

It turns out as expected, the 6682 have an elegant design, beautiful LCD screen display and easy to reach/operate buttons. It's my first time using a Sybian based smart phone, my first impression is that the Sybian OS design is very easy to navigate even to a first time user.

The call quality is a big improvement over my current Nokia 6800, much clear and crisp receiver, speaker is good and loud.

The phone provides a lot of customizeable functions and options - Themes, Ring Tones customized settings/preference etc.

1.3 MP digital camera performs nicely in most situations, night mode with longer time exposure boosts your creativity. LED flash is very useful for photograping at night of close subjects.

Bluetooth support and EDGE high speed web browsing. Expandable MMC memory card renders visually no storage problem at all.

MP3 music player intergrated in the phone is great.

Battery life is all right, with moderate talking time it lasts for about 2-3 days before it needs a charge. I usually have two batteries and just switching them around so it's never a problem for me.

Only thing I would complain is that the slide camera cover is too easy to be opened by accident, which renders the camrea into picture taking mode, kinda annoing. But dispite this the Nokia 6682 is an awsome phone to have. Highly recommended.

This is a great phone. It's got to be the culmination of the top technology in phone design. It has everything you need and organized like a miniture computer. Logical. I would have none other. Love it.

phone keeps cutting out of service called wireless provider changed sim card it is the phone which spuss to be new

I bought it for the features such as the zoom, large screen, camera pixels and flash. I did like the size ofthe screen. Some of the features such as the word and office programs were wasted on me. I would never use them. The camera was a bit of a dissapointment. The picture quality was not as good as the camera on the 6102 and the flash made everything appear to have a bit of a yellow tint to it. Also, after years of carrying a 6102 flip phone, it was just too bulky for my taste. It is overall a decent phone but not for people who just take photos and make phone calls necessarily.

Great phone, plays mp3, bluetooth, web access, and is user friendly. the phone was just like it was described online. the only down fall is the features look outdated. But other than than its a good phone.

Its looks stylish and love it. The only bad thing would be sliding cover on the back of the phone, sometimes you accedentialy hit it.

I bought the Nokia 6682 .I really liked it.Because I search on E-bay Nokia phone I found it.Also the Nokia 6682 speaker phone is perfect.Listen the music is excellent

The phone was advertised and new and upon opening it, there was residue from an antenna enhancing sticker which had been removed inside the phone and about 50+ text messages stored in the phone from a previous owner. When I contacted the seller he just responded insisting the phone had never been used that he had only inserted his sim card to see if the phone worked. I responded again with no word back from him.
