AT&T is aggressively pushing its 3G network, and nowhere is this more evident than in the Nokia 6555. Priced at just $49 with a rebate and two year contract(no contract over 200.00€), the 6555 is an attractive little clamshell that sports a decent feature set, including a 1.3-megapixel camera, AT&T Music,XM Radio, integrated IM clients, push-to-talk (PTT), and great stereo Bluetooth. The Nokia 6555 looks pretty nifty, if somewhat retro. The first thing you'll notice when the phone is closed is the silver racing stripe around the face and back battery panel. I appreciate the sporty look, but the stripe calls to mind an '87 Trans Am a bit too strongly. PTT is accessible from the 262,000-color, 128 x 160-pixel resolution external LCD, but that's about it. You can use the external display to take pictures and video, but you first have to initialize the camera from the keypad. Flipping open the clamshell reveals a two-inch QVGA screen capable of displaying 16.7 million Brilliant colors. The phone felt a little flimsy in my hands: The plastic casing was just a bit too easy to bend and ply. I like the tactile keypad, as well as the very comfortable hot keys for jumping directly to AT&T Music, XM Radio, Cellular Video, and the camera function. The Nokia 6555 uses AT&T's slower UMTS data network (not HSDPA), but I was able to surf at good speeds using the MEdia Net browser. NYTimes.com loaded in 4 seconds; CNN.com loaded in 5; and Yahoo.com, which tripped up because of browser formatting, loaded in 7 seconds. Video clips also queued up quickly. Cellular Video content from CNN and ESPN loaded in just five seconds, but I've noticed some lag, and the videos looked grainy. A 200KB game of Konami's Pirate Poppers downloaded in just five seconds. Although this phone integrates Napster and Yahoo Music, I found the experience sorely lacking. Both services offer only side-loading via your PC, and Yahoo has the added drawback of requiring login information, which you can't create from the phone. XM Radio implementation was much better; it lets you start your free trial or purchase service from the phone and gain access to XM's streams. Music ID also worked well, and I was able to identify my Coheed and Cambria tracks accurately.I was intrigued by Billboard Mobile's "The Buzz" music portal; using The Buzz you can search artists' discographies and biographies, download ringtones, and browse tour dates, although you can't purchase concert tickers over the air. AT&T includes integrated IM clients, which impressed me. Using the options menu, you can sign into your AIM, Windows Live, or Yahoo Messenger accounts. The implementation was very clean, and I was able to sign in easily and leave the app running in the background. I couldn't find a way to sign into multiple accounts on AOL, Windows, or Yahoo, however.

Overall I like the Nokia 6555 well enough. It has many desirable modern features and is easy to use. The screen colors are vibrant and the exterior analog clock is really cool. However I am very dissapointed in the Nokia 6555's battery life. I had the battery replaced in the first phone I purchased, but it still did not hold a charge so I had the AT&T store give me a new one and I am still not satisfied with it's battery life. I purchased the unit for $99.95 with a $50.00 rebate, which I felt was a reasonable price. I just don't look forward to two years of keeping my mobile phone connected to a charger.

My whole family now has these Nokia 6555 phones!! We love them.
Their reception and voice reproduction are just stellar!!! Even
when you are in a low reception area they sound great!! The camera works very well. The zoom is amazing. There 3 gigs of onboard storage is a real big deal most phones don't hold squat bet these phones will hold several hundred songs and a couple thousand pictures right out of the box!!! Plus they will take up to an 8gig mini sd card. There is not one thing I can say bad about these phones!!

I use this cell phone as a second line. I am glad I do not use this line very often. My other phone is a Sony Ericsson 580i. The Sony Ericsson is worth the extra money. If you are on a budget this phone will work if you are looking for a great phone look else where. I can not get over how bad the sound quality is.

I posses the phone and I have had to replace the battery once in 1.5 years. Even with the "NEW" battery I still have to charge it EVERY night, or I'll have a dead battery sometime the next afternoon. I really like the phone itself., and it's features. Other than the battery/, or charger being poor in use, it's a good phone.

The only thing I have found so far that I don't like about this phone is that you can't use full length song files as ringtones. I have other Nokia phones which allow this, but this one states that the files are too big.

The phone is great. But the seller sold it as new, when it was refurbished. I could tell this because the key-pad was off center, lopsided, and the screen flip-side was off center as well.
Battery life is what I tend to consider to be terrible. However, it is an extremely fast phone, with great internet speed and fast messaging. Also, the display is pretty impressive. You can easily change some settings like brightness, power saver mode, etc to preserve battery life. Expect to charge once everyday on normal use.
My phone had a problem with the battery terminals not touching the battery on occasion. This particular model has a spring loaded battery terminal piece that touches the battery. On occasion the spring would stick to normal wear, and shut off upon closing or opening the phone a little rougher than normal. It is also a great looking flip-phone.

I like the phone size and all the features. The price was right, too. The only thing I don't like is the battery doesn't seem to stay charged as long as other phones I have had. My kids complain about that with their phones (different models). So I'm thinking it's just the way they're making the newer models.

This is my fourth one in a year.
Although this phone is sleek/sexy, it's software is very buggy.
It will start turning off by itself for no reason, especially halfway through typing a text message.
Then, after a month or so of that, it will shut down and erase most of your applications, especially mobil email.
Also, the battery life sucks.
Sadly, I am in love with the styling........

This is a great product. The battery lasts with the music player and texting features, as for calls, it doesn't have the best duration. The music player sounds good and is fairly load, doesn't get hot like previous phones I have had, the shape is nice and small, pretty thin too. I bought this phone mainly for the music player, which works great.

I bought this item to save a few dollars cause most phones at the mall with out the plan (contract)the phone itself can cost 2 to 3 hundred dollars this was a good price the features of the phone are great it has a camera and all I had to do is take the sim card from my cheap Go phone and put it in this and I can use it and just fill my minutes as I please.

bought this nokia 6555 flip phone to replace the one i lost. easy to use and the photos are decent at over 1meg each which is handy. with a 4gb micro sim card added it holds plenty of pictures.
i live and work in the LA and Orange county area and haven't lost a signal.
i don't use most of the features just phone, camera & blutooth in the car.
i also like the flip open to use. when closed the keypad is covered. my work phone i keep forgetting to lock the keypad and end up dialing in my pocket, not this one, just open to answer and close to end call.

Nokia 6555I already had a Nokia 6555 mobile phone, but the screen got damaged, so I had to get another one. This seller had one just like mine and I bid and won. I am so pleased that I got my phone on ebay, it is the best place to "GET STUFF". AT&T does not offer the Nokia 6555 any longer, that was horrifying to me, as I am not a comsumer of Brand new products every 3 months. Ebay is a place where I can find everything I need, used.....as I am a recycle, reuse person , for sure!! The phone itself has a great calculator and cool ringtones and mp3, I just need a basic phone and this one fits my needs!!!

I bought this phone to replace my lost phone. I was surprised to find that the new phone goes dead quite often, just like my old one did. It is like a wire comes undone or the battery does not make contact and it turns itself off. When you turn it back on, it works. What I thought was just my phone is apparently a flaw in this kind of phone. It will do until my contract is up and I can get a different phone.
