Nokia 6340i (Unlocked)

The Nokia 6340i Is my cell phone of choice over any of those fancy flip phones, and camera phones. I count on one thing and that is reliability. I have dropped it countless time and it just keeps on ticking, I have dropped it in water I can even open bottles with mine (special technique required) Great signal. Cons no color, and it is bigger than most cells these days, but indestructibility and clarity make up for it.

This is the only phone that fits in my handsfree system in my truck. It has more clarity than any other phone that I've had. I will continue to buy this phone until I cannot find anymore. It is a great buy.

The phone I purchased was supposed to be in good condition and when it arrived it was in bad shape. Please make sure when you are buying something you get an acutal picture of the item you are buying.

I have had Nokia's in the past and think they are tremendous phones.
This particular phone is a dual band and gives me great reception in difficult area. I also like the larger, heavier phones. I'm not into all the different internet options so this suits my purpose.
I dont know anywhere else I can purchase these phones both new and used in great condition other than Ebay.

The nokia 6340i has fewer dropped calls than the new flip phones. Spend a lot of time in out of the way places and find that this phone will get a signal when others will not. Friends had me pick them up one and a spare for trips to the woods and fishing. Just change the sim card out from your flip phone when you have to stay in touch.

The 6340 Is the best phone ever made!!! If you want a phone that accually works, This is the one to have. It doesn't have a camera or color screen but its a phone that works!!! Not a camera!!!! I bought it because of the external antenna port for poor service areas. I wish nokia made more phones with a external antenna port for poor service areas!!!

After searching many hours for a Cingular compatible cell phone with an external antenna jack I found this cell phone meets my requirements.

It works with the Cingular simm chip and I can plug in my 8 ft. external marine survey boat antenna for extended range while working offshore.

The external antenna jack feature is not readily available in the newer cell phones.

I bought this phone as a back up this is a phone that works all over old systems and new as we all know GSM is crap as far as range, noise,i use cell socket at my house before they chaged over to GSM i only had a small antena on the back now with GSM i had to buy an outside antena and an ampliphier to get a good signal at my cell socket I use a V400 in it. I dont use a land line. But for traveling the 6340i is the best way to go and its rugged.

I bought a new cell phone after having a Nokia 6340i for 3 years. The new phone works off of the new towers. Around the rural area of our area, there are not many new towers. I wanted my old phone type back. I got it and can get service where the new cell phones cannot. When they put up new towers, I will then change. I can't download ringtones, but I can pick up callers where my children cannot. They wouldn't want something old fashioned, but that is fine with me. They borrow mine when there's won't connect.

This phone is so much better than my old Nokia 5165. I don't know if its because of the GSM system, but I get fewer drop calls and more tower access. The voice feature is great too. I love this phone!!!

It's pretty good for how I use it. I had this phone before I got my Samsung X475 and I think it was really good! It worked for what I needed. The screen is easy to read in direct sun, too!

Pros:
*Screen readable in direct sunlight
*Ringers are loud
*Battery life is great!!
*Phone is very sturdy/rugged
*No Camera (Cell Phone Cameras in the US are awful!)
*Easy to use

Cons:
*No Speakerphone
*Unusual headset connector
*Faceplate looses color easily

However, this is a great starter phone because it is easy to use.

I purchased a new car and I wanted the old phone cradle, and the cradle only handled the older model phones. I was lucky enough to find a phone that would fit into the cradle, and it was in excellent condition.

This is one of the best cell phones that works off the new and old towers. It also works wonders in rural areas where there aren't alot of cell service to most of the new phones. We also have an antenna hooked to this one and where there is NO service at all on the new phones.. This phone will have 5 bars. GREAT SERVICE. Low maintenance. You can also find them cheapper on EBAY still. I would recommend this phone to anyone!

I am very pleased with the Nokia 6340I, it is now outdated but I like it because I can still use it on the analog and digital cell services.

This is a very solid GSM phone. It is my second one, and I like it for a few simple reasons. It is almost indestructible, and I am hard on phones. A flip phone would probably not hold up under my use. It has no camera, being a basic candy bar phone. I don't need it for pictures. It has incredibly good battery life, also important to me. Finally, the call quality is very good. That's pretty much it, a good, durable phone. The only drawback, it's slightly heavy, but I can live with that.

good basic phone, Email & text messages NO CAMERA no WEB BROUSER, No GPS Those of you who dont need these,THIS Is a perfect setup lots of number(contact)storage. easy to understand menu system a bit drawn out but works well for anyone who dont want confusion or cant understand the fancier phones.

This phone was perfect for my husband. He is on a construction site everyday and needed a phone that is durable and fits MAN SIZE hands. The newest designs in cell phones, just do not last.

An okay phone for the money. Bought only has an extra to have if mine goes down. Always need that extra one. Nokia is a great phone...now they need to come out with an I-Phone...LOL.

This cell phone has a plugin for an external antenna. The external antenna gives me reception at my deer camp where most phones do not work. I have had one of these for a long time. They quit making them and I really liked this phone so I have purchased several of these for extras and spare parts to keep mine and my wife's phones working.

some sellers do not diclose details on the product making it hard to decide on some purchases.Well it's ok but sellers should be more transparent with potential buyers.
