Nokia 6255i (metroPCS)

The good points about this phone: drops very few calls,the clarity of calls are very clear & the toch keypads are permanent.This is the top of the line Metro cellphone if you like quality & you're willing to lay a golden egg to pay for this phone.
The bad points:The volume/recording keys are on the side of the phone which you can accidently push at any time which you can turn the volume down in an important conversation or u can be recording something you dont need. The camera feature is a nice feature but doesn't have the quality of a digital. Finally like all flip phones they are suceptible to breaking at the hinges, make sure you get the insurance on the phone as stated before this a very expensive phone.

This phone is one of the best phone that MetroPCS has sold.
It has camera and the capability to insert an MMC flash card up to 1 mg which can hold up to 21000 pictures .
It has bluetooth and infrared and USB connection capabilities which allows you to syncronize all your contacts with windows outlook.
All the other features the come with a nokia phone, calculator, timewatch, stoptime, calendar , galery.
It also allows to create folders within the gallery to classify your pictures and set the camera so that pictures to the desired folder.
I don't know how to do it, but this phone can be used as moden to create a dial up connection to connect to the internet.
It has voice recognition, which means that you call tell it who to call and it dial it for you.
It has MP3 player and FM radio.
It can hold up to 500 contacts with home addresses, cellphones, homephones and business phones.
It can surf the web (metroweb). you can check you email at hotmail.com , gmail and anyother web based email.
It is great for texting because the keypad is reasonably big, and it is confortable, even if you have a big hand.
Well, really, for the price this is the best phone out there.

i like the features radio, mp3 player, camera, speakers. dislikes - not sold anymore by metro pcs my service provider so i cant access anything else. i decided to buy the phone because i needed the bluetooth. the advertisement says its everything but a phone only when you want it to be. i like that.

Phone capabilities is good overall eventhough the procedures to activate certain features like silent, speaker phone and keypad lock are not practical, too many steps to accomplish such simple rutine tasks. The manual is poorly written and/or illustrated, at least the english version.

I love this phone. I had a motorola v330, and it was also a great phone. So I can compare this phone to that one, and it is equivelent or better in my opinion. PROS: The display is easy to read, navigation is quick and simple, the features are advanced, the keypad is large and easy to utilize. It has huge memory capacity with an mmc card up to 1Gig. Reception is good, voice clarity is good. You can personalize it, not as much as the moto 330, but its way better than 80% of phones on the market. And if your a Metropcs customer, It ranks in the top 2 phones available. In my opinion its better than the razor, which is a pretty phone, but has a terrible keypad. I dont mind the 6255's "bulkyness", it is a tad heavy, but it still fits nicely in my side pocket of carpenter or painter pants/shorts, which is a big plus for me. Some phones are too small and will fall out of these pockets when your working. The flip is very sturdy and easy to open. The styling is reminiscent of a lamborghini countach, a retro "80's" techno look. Its a very practical phone, simple in design yet advanced in potential. charger socket is excellent, not terrible like many phones which get dirty or damaged. This phone is media friendly and bluetooth ready, video, mp3...
Cons: It got stuck on headset mode when I answered it while charging, and I had to remove the battery while on to discharge memory and return to normalcy. minor annoyance. Battery life seems short between charges. Adding picture to text messages is different than the manual describes, has to be done in a "media message" not a text message. Middle button on navigation pad is too hard to push, takes getting used to. Menu is different than the manual describes, you have to figure some things out yourself or from forums. Reception improves by a whole bar when antenae is extended, which is great but an inconvenience to do. still a nice feature to have if you need it. The wrap on the phone, the outer layer of plastic which provides color, is weak. when it chips, it begins to peel. I wonder what it will look like in a year, since I'm hard on equipment. The moto 330 took a lot of abuse and maintained a degree of integrity, it was still sellable. I hope this phone ages well, because I like it!

I like everything about the phone, if anyone is interested this is a great phone and its not out everywhere.

I like the way the phone works. But it is Bulky, square, falls out often, and absolutely worst of all with the shape and antenna sticking straight out of its square body (I am talking about the plastic stalk, not even the metal antenna inside the stalk), just wear and tear from being in your pocket causes it to snap. Don't know about other providers, but Metro PCS doesn't consider that a warranty repair. So if you are angellic with the way you handle your phone, this is a great one. If not, try something rounder and with internal antenna.

I owned the 6255I a few years back and it served me well. I was surprised to have found this phone on Ebay and I am sure this phone will work just as well as the first one did.

This may not have the latest touchscreen or an HTML browser, but this phone has just about everything else. Expandable memory for tons of storage. FM Radio that has excellent signal reception. MP3 and video player. I have watched Star Wars and other movies on this phone. If you need an affordable phone that can do everything and do it with a name brand dependability, than this is your phone.

I bought it for my husband,I own one just like it and he liked mine. It works perfectly and we have had no problems since receiving the phone.

I got this phone for my friend in Panama, she had one and it was stolen. Unable to buy over there I offered to find one.
