Nokia 6126 (AT&T)

I upgraded from my good ol' standby Nokia 6020's a few months back, not expecting any of the newer, smaller, more delicate-looking phones to stand the test of my 15 year old grandson and my own malady called "dropsy". I was used to the easy, simple, un-technical little coffin-shaped Nokia's we'd carried for the past three years, and I was nervous about all the technical doo-dads and the bells and whistles included in the funny-looking little flip-phone I ended up with.

Well, to my amazement, the darned things were pretty simple to use. Simple to understand. Fun to have. Convenient. And so small, compared to my old phones!

I was snapping pictures of the grand baby one day, and by accident found that I could get a 10-second video with sound! What a gem! I can pull out my phone and proudly show off the cuter-than-yours kiddies blowing out birthday candles, or singing off-key!

Being an un-technical, cell phone illiterate, I was surprised that it was so simple to figure out. Here I am (the woman who has to ask her grandson to program the darned VCR), taking pictures, making video clips, sending text messages, downloading all sorts of goodies, and playing itsy-bitsy little games while waiting in line at the supermarket!

And each time I have dropped the phone, it has come out of it unscathed. Tough little bugger. However, the one my grandson dropped as he crossed the street did not survive being run over by six cars and two trucks. The battery and sim card and the SD memory chip survived, but the rest was lost to the living. Some things just can't be saved.

Although the camera takes great full-light pics, it doesn't do too well in a low-light situation. All in all, it's a great little phone for the money (especially when you get it free with the upgrade, and get a $30 rebate on top of that!) I did have to replace the slam-danced one the kid dropped in the crosswalk, but even the used one is great! I wish they could have added a longer life battery, but with the phone so slim, that would have been pretty hard to do without exorbitant costs. It makes up for being short-lived by fully charging in less than three hours, though, so no complaints there.

Awesome phone!! I signed up with AT&T and recieved one of there free phones. What a piece of junk! They would not give me a different one, so I purchased the Nokia 6126 and love it. I was able to purchase one for my wife also. Where I live I do not get very good coverage, but with my Nokia I can even phone out and recieve calls in my house.Thanks for a great product!

This phone gives a person everything needed. It is durable, yet simple to use. Nokia has a way of putting things together easily so consumers need not guess about menus, etc. Basically, this phone was bought because it is user friendly & so nice to look at! The colors are bright and so easy to read with the larger display. It also boasts of voice calling - this can be a little tricky because it is not the consumers voice placing the call, but a computerized one. Therefore, the wrong person in your address book may get the call instead! Still, I don't mind manually pushing the "talk" key to dial the number I want...(We don't need to be soooo lazy-let's do a few things for ourselves) I love this phone! My friends are now wishing they had bought this model for themselves. My motorola bluetooth headset was easily paired with this phone in only about 3 seconds! Very impressive...The style & size is just perfect for me.

I have had Sony Ericssons and Motorola phones. I've always done a lot of research and picked the one that had the features that I wanted and had great reviews. This is my first Nokia, and I found mixed reviews on it. I saw several complaints about reception, so I was a little nervous about getting this phone. I have now had it for about 4 days and I love it! I have had no reception problems. The menus aren't quite as intuitive as the Moto, but are still fairly easy to figure out. My biggest complaint with all my previous phones was that it was too hard to add themes. You had to flash the phone (and risk bricking it) which was more time that I wanted to spend on it or you had to buy the theme and download over the network which was more $ than I was willing to pay. With this phone, I find the theme that I like, save it to my memory card, then locate it and hit "apply." Awesome. The screens are beautiful. Clear pictures with nice color. The camera is a decent little camera, too. There is a zoom that works without making the picture too grainy. Editing the address book was WAY easier than on my old v3xx, especially copying to and from my SIM. The phone itself is a nice size. I can throw it in my pocket or the side of my purse without adding too much bulk and without losing it (I could never get my hand on my RAZR quickly enough -- too thin.) It also feels nice and solid. It doesn't seem like it would break very easily. My only complaint is that I haven't figured out how to activate the voice dialing. That was one of my "must haves" when choosing a phone, so I would like that to be super easy. Oh yeah, the speakerphone is clear, too. I am very happy with this phone!

Well like i said, I left my razr in my PJs and my mother in law washed them, i pulled it out while it was in the spin cycle. GOOD! Cause this Nokia is by far a thousand steps beyond the RAZR's imagination, more options, easier menus, more capabilities, more harddrive space, especially since i put a 2GB MicroSD inside of it. I was thinking about upgrading to a 8GB. This phone runs games my RAZR wouldn't even load, the picture is better the sound is better. I love this phone, it's disgusting how awesome it is.

I am rough on cell phones-I have broken three in the last two years. I purchased the 6126 to replace my free upgrade that didn't last 4 months. This phone has reliable features and I would have rated it excellant except the camera is average at best. Good call quality and clarity,clear screens and decent fonts, nice loud ringtones, all in a solid flip phone. This is the first remanufactured item I have ever purchased and I was very hesitant until I examined the sellers feed back. Thats what sealed the deal. As far as my seller, I couldn't have been more pleased. Fast communication and the fastest shipping-remember I was without a phone.

If you are tough on phones like I am and dont need one with gadgets that allow you to track the space shuttle, I highly recomend this phone.

I've had my phone a couple weeks, and I am so happy with my choice. I am able to sync with my computer. I use Outlook Express, and keep a backup copy of all files on my account using the free Nokia PC suite available online.The ability to personalize this phone seems endless. I send & recieve pictures,videos,and voice messages, and enjoy my mp3 collection.With the blue tooth, I actually have get togethers with my kids and we swap our favorite new screensaver,or themes, which look wonderful on the high resolution large main screen. The camera at 1.3 mp is adequate, and with all the other features it' an incredible buy. I bought one for AT&T and liked it so well I bought another for my son's T-Mobile service. Who needs a smartphone if you don't need to read or write documents.This one can do everything else just as well.This phone has character!

Second 6126 in the family. Pretty simple. Pro's: No antenna to break off! Con's: No lockout for camera. Really easy to take an unwanted picture.

great phone great price. i will never take a free phone with a contract where you have to sign a contract again.

Just needed a cheap phone until contract up. This one has a very large screen and good reception and very loud ring. Has to be charged frequently is the only draw back. Good all around phone.

Easy to use and figure out. Camera works well, good reception. I'm not a phone expert, but this phone has been very easy for me to use.

I like this phone. It gets great signal, has an easy to use keypad with programmable buttons. Alarm is definitely loud enough to wake me up in the morning. The games (all three are demos) are still fun, but can get boring after playing the demos repeatedly.

The speakerphone function works great, but I've noticed this phone does pick up more background noise than my previous phone (Nokia 6102i). It isn't enough to bother me or the person I'm on the phone with, but it is noticeable. I really like the push-button flip feature. It looks cool and makes it easier to open the phone. Also, if the keypad isn't locked, the camera turns on pretty easily. However, the keypad is easily locked manually, or there is a feature of enabling an auto key lock after the buttons haven't been pushed after a while.

Overall, a great phone, but one big and one small problem:

Small Problem: There isn't much memory available on the phone. This can easily be remidied by a memory chip insert.

Big Problem: Battery life. I find that this phone dies between 2 and 3 days normally of normal use (I don't text, but do make quite a bit of phone calls and play the games). This is my biggest beef with this phone, but it is something easy enough to work around.

The Nokia 6126 combines a lot of features (MP3 player, 1024x1280 resolution digital camera, video and audio recording, full backup and restore with a data cable, bluetooth, etc.), but it is no replacement for a quality digital camera. The 2GB limit on the mini SD card that it can handle will have you wishing it could handle the higher capacity SD cards as you fill it up with songs, pictures and video. However, compared to its peers, it is above average in quality and features.

i love all the features on it. the speaker is nice and loud to play your music or talk. easy to use and organize. i use it for email and organization. The camera and video are pretty good as well. its totally customizable to your liking.

I had this model phone once before but "upgraded" (yeah right) , this phone is nothing shy of excellence !!! Not only did I get it at an excellent price , but delivery was lightening fast....Bravo & thank you !!!

I like that pattern of cellular, it is very sophisticated, and has many extras, as mp3, camera of 1.3 megapixel with zoon 8x waoo, a very luminous screeninternal and external, is also thin and light, for that reason it is that I like this mark nokia a lot.

I have lots of dates and memory use for my business and this phone has a micro SD slot I keep a 4 Gig card in which is great. I find the menu is simple and the reception is very strong in remote areas where other phones I have used wont work.

I bought the Nokia 6126 (used but in mint condition) because of reviews that I had read. I was not impressed. I am not into the music, etc so i can not comment on that. The camera was not as good as I have had on previous cameras and you could not use the bluetooth to transfer pictures, etc from another phone to yours. Signal strength seems to be better on my Nokia 6555. Sound quality and text messaging was Ok. Overall, it was OK but nothing special.

phone, its the outer screen. its a little hard to read. if I had paid
list price for it, I would rate it a 9 of 10. but since I got 2 for
73.00 shipped, off ebay, I would rate them a perfect 10, for the money.
