Nokia 6111 (Unlocked)

Can't really rate the phone because I am with Cingular/AT&T. This phone does not work on their ferq. band 850. May work with other phone companys or in Aisa or Europe or somewhere. I just made a big mistake. I'll be buying my phones in person from now on.

my girl friend asked for exactly this model, because her brother recommended the phone. i personally thought (and still think) that the phone is overkill for her. She does not use most of the functionality anyway. But it comes in nice package and she likes it. I got my kiss and what is more important than that.

Two problems. The first, that the phone came with charger which did not work. I bought the phone in store and it was not an issue to replace the charger, but it was annoying anyway. Second problem - the phone just does not feel sturdy. This part is personal of course.

and final note - this time her mum wants just the same phone. You never argue with a woman, do you ?


P.S. (one month later) I bought a phone (refurbished) and one month after that ring stopped working. in local shop they opened the phone and said that there is nothing they can do to fix it.

I bought this phone a few days ago and I love it! It takes great pictures, has great sound, it is small, pretty, and I love having a slider! This is the best phone that I have ever had. The sad thing is, it does not work in my area (it is very rare to not work in an area) and so I am going to have to sell it to get another phone, but I am very disapointed because I love this phone. It is my favorite of those out there. PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS TRI-BAND PHONE WORKS IN YOUR AREA BEFORE YOU BUY IT!

Reception is perfect and small size makes it easy to take with me. The screen is nice for viewing photos. The interesting sideways camera works out well and makes taking pictures more natural.

A good little slider phone that was essentially made for use in Germany and/or other Euorpean countries. Back side looks like a reguler digital camera but, it a cell phone and a music player. The sim card fits in a unusal place on the back of the slide opposite the display. It was unlocked and ready to use for any GSM service. There are many other good features but, you will have to download manuals from Nokia since most of the manuals that come with this phone are in a foreign language.

This phone hasn't given out on me altogether, but has been a burden ever since I got in August. I feel so bad, considering I thought of this as an upgrade from the phone I first had, which didn't do anything but make calls. Unfortunately that's something the 6111 does only half the time!

Pros: It's a cool looking phone. People look at it like it's this really cool think. Even though it's not thin enough to slide in your pocket, it is little and look pretty nice. The camera is pretty good given the camera's size. I don't use the video often, but I've seen the quality and that's not so good. The ringtones are clear and the ringtones I made with Nokia Suite sound like they aren't on a cell phone.

Cons: Well, where do I begin?
-The battery life is awful. I use to be able to leave my phone off the charger for days, but this one in particular has the worst battery power out of any of the cell phones I've had.

-The screen does go white sometimes, it's only happened to me once, but I've had this phone for only a couple months. I've also noticed that it can fall on a carpeted floor and then have a white screen when I turn it back on. It's terrible.

-This phone works terrible with my network in different places. I know it's the phone because my other Nokia never gave me problems in this particular place. I have to continually take out my SIM card and slide it back in.

-The phone is awkwardly shaped. Its size is cute, but realistically it isn't even idle to slide into your pocket.

-After the battery dies and you put it on charge, it can sometimes take 15 minutes to get the phone to restart.

To sum it all up, I wouldn't recommend purchasing this phone.

Easy to use; confusing being a UK phone and not for USA; cannot lock keys; beautiful pics from megapixel camera with flash and night mode; better ring tones; difficult if not impossible to change front face (must be taken in to have done); phone fun; NEGATIVE: phone is very easily turned OFF by pressure on screen (especially when holding in between your shoulder and ear); I used this phone for two months and then threw it out... I would never by another one like this!

The phone is cute but it feels like a lightweight piece of plastic. I get absolutely NO service indoors, anywhere. I dropped the phone from the coffee table onto the carpeted living room floor and the face of the camera came off. Its difficult to remove the flap that covers the charging hole. As a result, i've already broken it off. Sometimes the phone locks up and i have to reboot it to use it. The volume isnt all that loud either. i can barely hear.

the phone is cosmatically damaged, which is bad or poor. the seller gave a full refund, which is good.

Broke within the first week - screen went out, sim card kept slipping, sound went out, etc. My seller was great and let me exchange it for a different phone, so I'm happy about that. However, not one single thing made me happy about this phone.

It started out poorly. The telephone arrived with a broken charger. The seller sent me a new charger and it workes fine.
