I have worked for Cingular for a long time now, and this one caught my eye. First off, its not really a super-high-tech phone, so anyone can use it. Very simple menus, and nothing to complicated. It has a nice Camera AND Camcorder which can be handy from time to time. Battery life and reception is very good. Now, the regular Nokia 6102 is actually discontinued, so make sure to get the Nokia 6102i, because that version has Bluetooth, and Bluetooth is a MUST HAVE for any phone nowadays. So make sure if you buy this phone, to get the 6102i. The only dislike on this phone, is the feel to it. It is very light phone (Which I like) but it feels very 'plastic-like'. Granted it is a durable phone, there are more durable phones out there. Overall, if your not tech savvy, but want a nice phone at a great price, this is the phone for you!! Pros: Good battery life, nice color screens, camera, speakerphone, light and small, loud ringtones, easy to use, durable. Cons: Can only attach photos to contact IMMEDIATLY AFTER the picture was taken, cant attach different ringtones to different contacts. Overall its a great phone, nokia did an excellent job. It may have some small flaws about customising your contact list( ringtones and pics) but its nothing really important... the phone's performance is undisputable, cant go wrong with the Nokia 6102! Not only is it one of the clearest sounding phones I have ever owned, but the camera on it is AWESOME! If you email the photo's to yourself or someone else and then print them out, they are sooo clear, it's unreal! I highly recommend this phone! Review ID: 10000000001894987 Was this review helpful? It has great customization options and feel great in the hand. The bad things about it are that the graphics could be better, and the screen could be brighter. Also, the camera screen is really small, other phones fill up the whole screen. Other than that It's a great phone to have. Look at the Nokia 6102i for added bluetooth. Pros: Looks Great, Amazing Features. Cons: Graphics aren't that good, screen could be brighter, camera screen is small. No Bluetooth. Review ID: 10000000004647644 Was this review helpful? If you don't want to read the entire review, that's fine: The point is: Nokia's batteries, on any phone of their's, for the most part, are great batteries, and hold a charge EXTREMELY WELL, unlike many competitor's batteries!! Now, if you want the details: I have had many phones over the years. I started off, a very long time ago, with a Motorola bag phone. It was actually pretty good, because it was always plugged into the car, so the reception was great (as it is on all bag phones) and so was the battery staying power. Because I loved that first phone so much, when I graduated to a bagless/regular cell phone, I wanted a Motorola, naturally, I had a different end of events: the battery never lasted more than a day or two. I then switched to a Nokia. Now, Nokia's are GREAT about battery power! They seem to last forever! I had about 4 Nokia's in a row, just for that reason. All of them were amazing at holding a charge! I had Nokia's for well over 10 yrs. and never had a problem with them. I have dropped them (leaving them in pieces) repeatedly, and you just put them back together, and poof, your off, they never die! Now, before I bought my last phone, I really liked the look and the things that the Razor offered, but I was too hesitant, so I bought another Nokia. Once again, great phone. But after all these years, I figured Motorola finally had to get it right, right? WRONG! I have a Brand New Motorola Razr and that thing stinks at holding a charge. It only lasts a few days, IF I don't use it. IF I use it, talking or making changes, it will die in less than two days. Now, I am sad to have to say these things about Motorola, because I believe in them as a good company, but they just can't get the batteries in their phones to hold a charge! I don't know why, but they can't. Another thing, when it is low on battery power, about 1 out of every 5 times, it will give you warning. The other 80% of the time, your phone is working, no beeping, nothing, and then, zap, the phone is just dead! You don't think this is going to be a problem, until you go to meet someone for dinner, the game, or shopping, and your phone was working all day long, but now, it's dead, and you didn't get a chance to tell them, where you were or where to meet up. Now what do you do? I don't even remember how to use a pay phone anymore, do you? Something else about this Razr, you absolutely have to have the disc with all of the applications on it, otherwise, you really have no wallpaper, screen savers, etc. There are a few that come with it, but not many. I don't know about other people, but I like more than 3 wallpapers to choose from, and screensavers that are the same picture as the wallpaper, just moving. My kids both have the LG C2000, and theirs' are better than the Razr, but not nearly as good as the Nokia brand. Not to mention, both of their phones, after 1 yr., started having connection problems. They use to be perfect, but after each one hit about a year or so old, they started disconnecting on calls, sounding scratchy and dying very quickly. Given my choice, I would (might still) go back to my old Nokia. I was very pleased with it, and the only reason I replaced it, was I wanted a new phone. So stick with a Nokia. You'll be happy no matter what the model is!!! Review ID: 10000000003844697 Was this review helpful? Report this review |
