Nokia 6085 (AT&T)

I received the Nokia 6085 as my upgrade phone from AT&T. I didn't do any research on the phones that were available because I was in a hurry, this phone had a rebate (so it would be free), and I love Nokia phones. I just wanted a Nokia flip phone that took pictues. At first, I didn't like this phone ONLY because it doesn't have a photo caller id on the external display. The display is blue and though it displays the time, date, and the caller id is fine, I really wanted the external photo caller id (I don't even know if this is what it's called). Anyhoo, I can still exchange it if I want to, and after doing some research on the other phones that were available...I'm keeping this phone. I wanted to get the Nokia 6126 because THAT phone had everything I wanted. Then I called AT&T and they just pulled the phone to work out some issues it had. Whew. So, that leaves me with a few other choices, but now that I've had this phone for over a week, I think I'm in love.
This phone has everything I need, and then some. I like my phones to be easy, functioning, and pretty because, c'mon, why not? I love the FM radio. It's pretty quiet at work sometimes so I just plug in the headset and listen to whatever station I want. I don't have to pay for anything extra either. Free music. Whodathunkit? The camera is decent enough. It takes pictues and video and I can send them to people. That's all I really need. The sound is decent, too. If I wanted excellent pictures from my phone I would've spent SOOO much more money, but I don't. I have my digital camera for that. This phone is simply all you really need. I haven't tried a wireless headset, but I can't wait. I like the bluetooth feature so I can get free ringtones from other people. A moneysaver right there. This phone is awesome for the price. I think with all the rebates applied, I didn't pay anything for this phone and it's so up to date I won't be itching for a new one in six months. Not that I use all the features this phone has, but I'm still one of those people who uses a phone for basic things...calculator, alarm clock, radio, texting, and phone calls. Oh, I almost forgot. My battery stays charged for a long time. It held its charge for a week and I played with my phone ALOT. I've read quite a few reviews about other phones (namely, the 6126) where battery life is mentioned and has you charging every other day. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I don't think so. If you're thinking about getting a 6085, and not having an external photo caller id is not a problem, then this is a great, no, excellent phone, especially considering the price. Now if I could only stop thinking about the Nokia 6555...

I don't browse the web or download ringtones, but I could if I wanted to. This phone has everything you need without all the stuff you don't. The predictive text feature is better than a qwerty keyboard. I have had several phones and this one is the best.

Had a newer addition of this phone that I purchased for $178.00 and it was damaged, received this model for so little money and I love this model. New seller stands behind her products. 10 stars to her.

I first thought of getting a $400 LG Shine for it's sleek, stylish look, 2.0 megapixel camera and plenty of memory. Then I thought "Wait a minute, a new Wii only costs $250. Why should I buy a phone that costs $400?" I got the Nokia 6085 for just over $100. It supports a 2 GB SD card, which is compatible with the Wii, and leaves a good amount of space for music, games, and pictures (which are of surprisingly good quality for a VGA camera).

Unfortunately, it is a plain-looking phone with relatively dim lighting, and a poor selection of ringtones.

The Product I purchased was as described. I decided to purchase the product because it seemed affordable and the seller had a good rating. Luckily the product has served me well so far.

Long shipping times and seller lied and said he shipped the phone. Then the seller sent emails to me with profanity

The Nokia N-75 was so horribly designed as to finding contacts that it took 4 months before AT&T would or could understand that the car accident was indeed because of that phone. Finally they sent me the 6085. Now to me this a a real phone. Practical. Easy to use, great battery life. Thrilled. Well I was until the two Westie puppies (Leonardo & Davinci) somehow managed to take this new phone and two Bluetooth head sets and use them for dessert. I still cannot figure out how they removed the 2GB chip and eat that. A new one is on the way.
You cannot go wrong with this cell phone. Unless of course you happen to have a dog or two addicted to eating plastic and metal electronic parts.

I wanted the phone because of the pink color and th name brand nokia. It also had a few newer features like the mp3 on it. I hate the memory on it. There is not near enough!!! And that was one of the features I wanted and needed the most. And the way all the folders are set up on it is different. I love the looks of the phone. But thats about all I just love. The charger and battery I got with the phone didnt work very well after a little use. The charge doesnt hold on the battery. And I've had problems with the Message Center Number. It wont let me send text messages and I've saved the number 3 times in my phone.
If I could go back and decide which phone to buy, it would not be this phone.

Small phone, but not fragile. EXCELLENT reception and battery life. Got this one for my son, I may purchase one for myself also.

I'm not the best choice for a review on the above item, because I didn't actually receive it.... but it was a postal problem not a seller problem.... the seller refunded me as soon as I contacted her and was very very kind about the inconvenience, so I can't rate the product but the seller gets an A+!!!

Most aspects of this phone are adequate, except that the screens are impossible to read outdoors without shading it with your hands. Not too swift of the designers!

Sent seller money order for product, they emailed me back thanking me for it & would be sent it ASAP. Have not seen it or heard from seller since. Ebay sent a dispute & I sent an email to seller & he has not responded. Looking back at sellers reviews this is not the 1st time something like this has happened my fault so always check the seller out 1st before you bid.

Thank you for the nokia 6085 what a deal. I have been looking for a phone that is easy to use and is easy to hear with the adjustable volume on the out side of the phone.

I was looking for a phone that was just that: a phone. I didn't need a camera built in, or an MP3 player, or a radio, etc, I just needed a smallish flip phone that had good reception especially in weak signal areas. So why did I buy the Nokia 6085 (with its camera, music and radio)?, because it was $30 when I signed the contract with AT&T. It turns out to have excellent reception even in the boonies, behind the hills of SW Ohio, where I live (way better than the LG I had before - which was pathetic). I almost never use the camera, or the MP3 player, but I invested in a pair of Nokia headphones and use it as an FM radio every lunch time when I go walking. It has excellent sensitivity. I like the way it takes a mini SD card (so if I wanted to take music or pictures with me, I could), has a reasonably powerful loudspeaker, and the fact it has no obvious antenna. The screens are big and bright and the battery holds more than enough charge for 5 days. The down side is (as often) the user manual which is a diabolical mess. It would help enormously if it had a menu structure printed in it, or even on a small separate card. You can spend ages trying to navigate your way through menus to stop or start some obscure feature. I also found that the phone is not water proof enough to go through a washing machine's full cycle. It drowned. However, I was able to take out the SIM card, and buy another 6085 on ebay for $70, stick in the SIM card, and I was back in business. Would I buy another? Yes. I already did.

Reception Great. Easy to program and use. I do not like the camera function of this phone. Images not as clear its hard to bring them up and use images. Not as user friendly as previous Nokia phones I have owned. But ease of texing and clarity of phone is real good.
