| Product Description The expressive Nokia 3590 phone brings new levels of entertainment and GPRS services to an entry-level market. Integrating GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) technology, the Nokia 3590 phone uses packet data transmission for a high-speed connection to the Internet. This 2.5G standard allows for fast downloads of applications, rapid Internet browsing via the built-in XHTML browser, and the ability to receive MMS (multimedia messaging service) messages. Report this review Review created: 04/10/08 by: lexuslindam ( 8 ) Disliked that the color of the phone was not mentioned and went by the color photo on the auction site. I liked the fact that it is very similar to the one I currently have. Purchased it because I needed to replace my current cell phone. Review ID: 10000000006650085 Was this review helpful? The Nokia 3590 is a perfect older, basic cellphone.I bought mine in mint cond. used & unlocked to use as a T-Mobile back-up(emergency)phone.Very basic multi-media features,no camera or MP3 player but AS A PHONE it functions great.Excellent reception, often getting signal where newer, more advanced phones fail to perform. This phone was built in the day(only 4yrs ago?)when phones were expected to be able to make calls, first and foremost.Comes with a nice selection(25)of polyphonic ringtones(oooh)and 3 actually decent pre-loaded games(aah).Remember this was before phones were considered "cash cows" for downloadable ringtones and games for the wireless carriers. This phone is tough and even if you crack the faceplate you can always buy a new one cheap and the phone will look like new.Even if it takes a dive in the sink or toilet you can open it up,let it air dry and odds are your phone will be o.k.Don't expect the same from that new 3 million color screen multi-media wonderphone. That beautiful color screen will be toast and you'll be lucky if can make or recieve any calls at all.
