Disliked that the color of the phone was not mentioned and went by the color photo on the auction site. I liked the fact that it is very similar to the one I currently have. Purchased it because I needed to replace my current cell phone.
I love Nokia phones. My dad had one just like this and he lost it. We got him a new Razr and He hates It, So when I seen this phone for sooooooooooo cheap I had to by it. I have a older nokia and I get service where other phones will not. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Now M DAD wont grip anymore.
The Nokia 3590 is a perfect older, basic cellphone.I bought mine in mint cond. used & unlocked to use as a T-Mobile back-up(emergency)phone.Very basic multi-media features,no camera or MP3 player but AS A PHONE it functions great.Excellent reception, often getting signal where newer, more advanced phones fail to perform. This phone was built in the day(only 4yrs ago?)when phones were expected to be able to make calls, first and foremost.Comes with a nice selection(25)of polyphonic ringtones(oooh)and 3 actually decent pre-loaded games(aah).Remember this was before phones were considered "cash cows" for downloadable ringtones and games for the wireless carriers. This phone is tough and even if you crack the faceplate you can always buy a new one cheap and the phone will look like new.Even if it takes a dive in the sink or toilet you can open it up,let it air dry and odds are your phone will be o.k.Don't expect the same from that new 3 million color screen multi-media wonderphone. That beautiful color screen will be toast and you'll be lucky if can make or recieve any calls at all.
Where I live there is spotty service and Nokia is always the best choice. Its a simple no nonsense phone. Always works. No color and multimedia but that is exactly what I was looking for. One word to describe this is: reliable.
I LOVED MY PHONE AND I LOVED IT EVEN MORE WHEH I GOT IT UNLOCKED SO WHEN I WENT FROM AT&T TO CINGULAR I COULD STILL USE MY PHONE. THE FEATURES ARE GREAT.
I purchased this phone to replace a Motorola v180 which stopped functioning properly. It is not as fancy as the Motorola but that is fine with me. It is a good basic, solid phone that serves it's purpose and is easy to use. If you're not looking for a million features then this Nokia is a good choice. I have had no problems with service on this phone and I have Cingular but I think I am still on the AT&T network, I do not know whether or not that makes a difference.
Be careful when purchasing phones that were used on the former ATT service. Cingular does not posess the codes from ATT that you will need to use the phone (in their words..."rendering tyhe phone useless"). This is true, even with a phone that uses a SIM card.
