An Old Standard that Does What You Want

I love the Nokia 3390. I have owned 5 of them. You can't buy them retail any more, they are considered obsolete, so the last 3 I bought here on ebay. I have had one stolen, 2 ruined by being dropped or run over, and one that I bought had a bad key. I am a fanatic for simplicity and ease of use. I want a cell phone with no moving parts and no antenna. Small size and long battery life are vital for me, so the 3390 is great for that. But the real reason I love it is for the monochrome screen. It is getting very hard to find a good monochrome screen phone, and I need to be able to read the screen at all times, even when the phone is in its cradle in the car, and I am outside looking in. Most phones today have screen savers or some other software to cut off the screen, which I cannot tolerate. I need a phone that can be read from a distance, at an angle, in bright sunlight. If I have the phone turned on, I need to be able to see the screen. This phone has 1-touch dialing for 9 numbers, and can do text messaging, which are also essential. It won't take pictures or play music, but I don't care. The phone is very rugged and can survive numerous falls onto concrete, or worse. If something happens to my current phone, I will buy another 3390.
