Movie Description Native Swede Lasse Hallstrom (MY LIFE AS A DOG, THE CIDER HOUSE RULES) directs this lighthearted tale of adventure that is the sequel to THE CHILDREN OF NOISY VILLAGE. In that story, summer vacation had arrived for six small children growing up in the pre-World War II Sweden, and this follow-up revisits Lisa, Lasse, Bosse, Anna, Britta, and little Kerstin on their countryside adventures. They lack television sets, but possess powerful imaginations, and spend their days creating their own games and other unique forms of amusement--much to the irritation of Noisy Village's adults. Astrid Lindgren penned the screenplay, which embraces the spirit of her much loved series of children's books, which center on the adventures of PIPPI LONGSTOCKING.
Notes Theatrical Release (Sweden): September 5, 1987.
Filmed on location in the Swedish countryside.
The Swedish title is MER OM OSS BARN I BULLERBYN.
