No Way Out (DVD, 2000, Widescreen and Standard)

This movie is riveting! I saw it during the 1980s when Reagan was president and couldn't believe that anything like this could ever go on. However, it is just as appropriate today as it was then. It has all the political intrigue that we have become used to in the 2000s. Homosexuality, adultery, spying, wiretaps, bullying by the federal government, and creating solutions from small fragments--all these are in this movie. They use everything but DNA, which wasn't discovered yet. Too bad they didn't have cell phones too.

Kevin Costner is wonderful before he got an ego as a star. Sean Young is fabulous in her small role. Will Patterson is convincing. Gene Hackman is a great villain. And the final scene makes it all so riveting that you want to watch it again and again and again. I have watched it at least 10 times.

I recall watching this movie as a youth and realized I enjoyed it but could not really understand the reasons why. I have watched the movie again and again over the years and realized that it was a superbly directed action-suspense-drama-thriller and contained a nimbly assembled cast of incredible acting talent. Kevin Costner is at his best in this movie and in his later career I found that fame made him glide through the acting work but not in "No Way Out". Gene Hackman is brilliant as are the supporting cast. I was a fan of Sean Young's early work and regret she didn't make better future career choices because I found her to be engaging in this one. A must-have DVD purchase. Timeless and endlessly watchable.

Awesome! Plenty of suspense, nice flowing story line, wonderful characters and Kevin Costner isn't hard to look at either. highly recommended.

I was so glad that this 1987 thriller is back out and on DVD. This was always a favorite of mine. Of course it has Gene Hackman, a favorite actor of mine, and Kevin Costner is actually believeable in this movie. I find this story to be a real stunner with so many plot turns, one almost gets whiplash at the end.

The DVD transfer is OK, not the best, but not the worst. For the bargain price, it is well worth the money, and a repeat showing. If this is new to you, you will not be disappointed...trust me!

if you like adventure, this movie is very entertaining, now that i own it i will see it again for the third time in a few months.

This is one of the few movies that I want a copy of to watch more than once. Besides Kevin Costner being drop dead gorgeous, the twist in the plot is what makes the movie so great. The limo scene isn't bad either.

A little on the old side, the "new" technology they use in the movie is obsolete today, but this movie still holds up as a fanatastic thriller. Solid acting by Costner and Hackman. Well worth buying.

This is one of Kevin Costner's best movies. If you enjoy a good mystery, this is a must-see movie. The surprise ending to this movie is one of the best twists of all time!!!
