Harlan Coben is usually a good writer with good suspense. His books are usually well researched and I like that. I often try a new writer, but I almost always buy a Harlan Coben book. Toward the end I literally couldn't put the book down and stayed up late finishing it.
At the beginning of the book, a doctor is critically injured in an apparent break-in, his wife is killed, and their six month old is missing. Then a ransom note arrives and the doctor, who had flatlined but then survived, goes to the drop off which goes awry. The title of the book refers to his quest for a second chance at recovering his kidnapped child. If you've read the works of Harlan Coben, this is among the great ones. It is extremely engaging, surprising, and immensely clever. It was a true "page-turner" - just wonderful.
