No Plot, No Problem
This was just what I needed to get back to work on my novel. Written as a guide to use in conjunction with National Novel Writing Month, even though I was not participating and was not trying to do 50K words in a month, this was very helpful. It helped motivate me to get 19,000 words done in 8 days, something I feel very good about. This is very practical and tells you how to plan and pace your writing. The most important part is the idea of turning off your inner editor and to just write. If you get the words down, you can edit and rewrite after the month is over. Turns out there is also a National Novel Editing Month and a National Novel Finishing Month, but the web addy on one of them was wrong and the other came along after the book was published. The resources out there for writers are impressive, as are the scams. This is not one, however.
