No Language but a Cry by Richard Anthony D'Ambrosio (1988, Paperback, Reissue)

I read this book in the original hardback version, when I was about 15. I was stunned to learn that a child could be like this child. I was stunned further to discover that there were those, compassionate enough to try to break through to the child featured in this true story.

I judge a book by how long I can recall the title, the story told and the emotions the author brought forth from me.

As I sat here reflecting on which books I could write guides about, this book, and several others popped into my head. I have been an avid reader all my life, so those that I actually remember this well, must have been good!

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys readng true stories, awful and wonderful at the same time, and that stir the reader to change the way he thinks and feels about the world in which he lives.
