Album Notes Personnel includes: Phil Collins (vocals, keyboards, percussion, programming); Daryl Stuerner (guitar, keyboards); Arif Mardin (strings); The Phoenix Horns (horns); Gary Barnacle, Don Mynck (saxophone); David Frank (keyboards); Lee Sklar (bass); Helen Terry (background vocals). Recorded at The Townhouse, London; Old Court, Surrey. NO JACKET REQUIRED reached number 1 in more countries than you can shake a drumstick at, and shows Collins at his most mature and versatile. 'Sussudio' opens the album with the familiar death-by-drums intro, setting the pattern of strong arrangements and attacking vocals. 'Only You Know And I Know' and 'Who Said I Would' explore this territory with the vibrant assistance of the Phoenix Horns, while the massive 'One More Night' provides an elegant contrast. Surely the strongest track, however, is the elegaic 'Long Long Way To Go', which brought tears to a billion pairs of eyes as one of the highlights of Live Aid. | Find errors in the product description? Review ID: 10000000006754980 Was this review helpful? Report this review I have nothing but praise for this transaction. Sometimes I'd much rather buy a CD slightly used and in this case since it doesn't have the CD case with it, I have plenty of cases to put it in. It saves money and time and it makes the CD look new. Thanks so much for the great deal! Review ID: 10000000006138304 Was this review helpful? Somehow always liked the "Miami Vice" down in the Florida semi-tropics feel of Phil Collins' music. There is a another track tacked on the end of this CD I do not remember from the tape, and it really does not seem to fit the rest of the format, but all in all it is relaxing and, dare I say it?...nostalgic listening. Alot of it is his early stuff. When he broke away from Genisis. Which is great, too. Review ID: 10000000002209516 Was this review helpful? Report this review |
