This is wonderful book for novice pencil artists or even for artists that have never researched the medium. This book is simply explained with wonderful illustrations - everyone can understand and follow its direction. Highly recommend, especially for the young or new pencil artist!

) Great book. It takes a beginner and "walks" you through projects so you can learn how to draw/paint with colored pencils. I'm very happy with it. I have a couple other how to books on this subject, and this one is far better. I'm glad I bought it.

This is a great book for beginners, it really tells you everything, it assumes you know nothing, which I didnt! It leans towards realistic styles which is what I wanted, not the loose and sketchy stuff. I would Highly reccomend this to anyone just starting out in colored pencils.
