No Country for Old Men (Blu-ray Disc, 2008)

Well, almost every year I make an attempt to watch the movie that wins Best Picture at the Academy Awards for obvious reasons. No Country for Old Men was no let down, the action and suspense kept me locked in the whole time. The movie was in a way confusing towards the beginning but I liked it because whenever you got to the end it really hit you and it made it more enjoyable. Can't wait for more like this from the Coen brothers.

This is a wild movie. Its's one of those movies you end up yelling at your TV saying 'What are you doing" Javier is one scary SOB!!! A must see! It will end up being on your top 10.

I will suggest any movie lover to see this movie. It is very well written, and is actually a bit scary mainly because everything that happens in the movie seems so real. Not no mention how cold blooded it is, and the point of view of the old cop, who just does not get how did the world turn so rotten.

Great movie! cant stop watcing it!This movie kept me n the edge of my seat. it is very thrilling and has a good plot.Not very many actors but it is well worth the time to watch it.

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN revels in the state-of-the-art special effects and frantic violence characteristic to most of director Paul Verhoeven's American productions. Though based on a story by the creator of Blade Runner, author Philip K. Dick, Total Recall is more of an action movie than a philosophical rumination on identity. Still, the film gets a lot of mileage out of the questionable notion that "you are what you remember." The screenplay was finally credited to seven screenwriters; it had bounced around Hollywood for a number of years with different directors and stars before it reached Verhoeven. The director's brand of high-octane, cartoonish violence is a good fit with the material, though his style may have been better suited to 1988's more satiric Robocop. The movie received a special achievement Academy Award for its impressive effects.

I really, REALLY enjoyed about 99.9% of this movie (I refuse to tell you what 1/10th of a percent I did not like, you'll figure it out). The acting was superb, the storyline intense. I bought this movie because I wanted it in blu-ray (I own the standard dvd also) and the price was right. A movie well-worth a repeat viewing, obviously.

see i love no country for old men when it came out on dvd i didnt have blu ray player at the time so i waited. i had heard that it was one of the best blu rays out there, so i got this movie and watched it. and yes while it is true the picture is outstanding i couldn't help but feel like the dvd was almost the same. i mean maybe the movie it self has left such an impression on me that the dvd's quality is amazing to me and if i went back saw it it wouldn't be as good but this movie visually is astounding, definite must have for blu ray owners

This is an excellent movie. It kept my attention from beginning to end. Very suspenseful, excellent acting. The detailed graphics is excellent. It will make an excellent addition to my blu-ray collection.

Bought this at very resonable price and sent to my son in Iraq for some entertainment and sure he will enjoy it.

The plot is great and it has definately got a lot of action. However, the ending sucks. It ruined the movie for me. It ends on a loose end and I hate that. However, most people still like it because it's a good movie. I actually saw it prior to buying it. I bought it for my step-dad because I think he'll like it.

Most excellent movie, the Cohens know how to bend your mind around the little details in a story. Hard to tell whats coming around the bend in this thriller. I love to keep guessing . Makes want more and more.

I loved this film for its raw content and un-interupted suspensful surprises. The tone of the movie flows freely with out any back ground music, which sets the perfect mode for an great cinematic experiance. In high definition this film is beutiful to watch. I have seen this movie at least six times and find new depth to it each time.
