Entertaining and creative movie that's worth watching once. It's part of the new genre of movie that ends leaving you unfulfilled and wanting more. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

This was an intense experience that showed off some very fine acting skills in its players. Appropriately graphic without going over the top, the story was engaging and gripping. If there is no sequel (and I don't see a movie like this really supporting one) then the ending was too open ended with no resolution. If there is a sequel hurry up with it!

As for the plot, one guy was fortunate enough to find a pack full of money in the middle of a battlefield and take it, but unfortunate enough to realize later that he was messing with the wrong people.
This was a good starter and, until the middle of the movie, things were going pretty interesting and I felt very attached to the history. Blood and shooting everywhere and everytime driven by the Chigurh-Moss chase. A real and enjoyable countryside thriller.
Then, the conclusion: Moss was killed, Chigurh got hit by a car bump and just walks away (apparently not being busted) and the sheriff, once eager for catching the murderer, ended up sitting, reflecting about life and the past. If there's a subtle message in the end of the movie, I don't really know, but I have to confess that this finale has not made much of a sense to me.
Although I found the end confusing, this movie is good in the general sense and rescues the idea that low or middle budget movies can be as interesting and entertaining as pricey ones. I also liked the production: more images and action than dialogue, a lot of suspense and not much music running in the background. Suspense scenes are better when there is no or just a little sound with it.

I can say that it was a different movie then what has been out there. The acting was, of course, wonderful. Some major surprises and some moments I really could not follow. Taught about morals and greed and a couple others. The one actor who was the pyscho path was amazing. He was so weird and disturbing, he played his role perfect. He even had his weird morals. Intense movie, so cant really be in the middle of something you when watch. All in all we were satisfied. It was ok, for me, but great story and acting.

LOVED ALL THE PERFORMANCES IN THE MOVIE. SOME PEOPLE REALLY WERE PUT OFF BY THE ENDING. THE WHOLE MOVIE UP TO THAT POINT WAS GREAT LEAVING YOU WONDERING ABOUT HOW MANY DIFFERENT WAYS IT COULD END. WHEN IT DOES END ITS NOT WHAT YOU WERE EXPECTING. THERE ARE ALSO SOME AMAZING SCENERY SHOTS OF THE DESERT IN THIS MOVIE, LOOKS GREAT ON BLU-RAY.

When watching the oscars this year I noticed this title pop up for a lot of nominations. At the time I felt like they should give someone else a chance. When it won best picture, I figured it was worth a shot. It starts with Josh Brolin hunting in the desert in Texas not getting any game. Soon he discovers that something has happened upon the trail in which he has traveled, and upon that trail lies many dead bodies and two million dollars. As any intelligent person would he takes the money and leaves the scene with one man still alive but close to dead. His conscience gets the best of him and he goes back out there to see the one survivor to see what has happened and just how much danger he may have endured, but the man is gone, and there are people already hunting him. I must say that Javier Bardem's turn as the vicious killer in this movie is incredible, even the haircut is scary. Every time I saw him you were on the edge of your seat curious of what was going to happen. He definitly earned the oscar for this one. The movie is very believable with many actual Texans playing parts in the movie. Josh Brolin remains a very simple person, without much extravagance, keeping his safety knowing he has a wife at home. I saw it right before it left the theater and then purchased it on blu ray. If you havent seen it yet I definitly would say it is worth it. I am not usually a fan of violence, but this tells a story, sticks to it, and shows just what can happen when the love of money consumes you.

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN :TRUE STORY?This will be a classic new age western about a real life situation which is an every day occurance for law inforcement on the mexican border!This could be a real story on any month of the current activities that are always happening on the Texas border.A GREAT PIECE OF WORK!

Well, almost every year I make an attempt to watch the movie that wins Best Picture at the Academy Awards for obvious reasons. No Country for Old Men was no let down, the action and suspense kept me locked in the whole time. The movie was in a way confusing towards the beginning but I liked it because whenever you got to the end it really hit you and it made it more enjoyable. Can't wait for more like this from the Coen brothers.

justifialbly the best picture of the year and arguably the best from the coen brothers. they stayed true to renown author Cormac McCarthy's book while making very solid cinematic sequences that kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. the script was taken straight out of the book which is why it ended so abruptly which annoyed some audiences who "didnt get it" only because they dont like to think too hard about movies.
if you're looking for a bruce willis flick with punchline dialogue and cool stunts and a satisfying ending then you might want to stay away from this film.
the coens have made a masterpiece out of the well trodden genre of crime/thriller movies by taking the best out of Cormac McCarthy's book and making it into an electrifying and disturbing film that will haunt you for days. Tommy Lee Jones character is the main premise for the movie and his performance is spot on. Javier Bardem's bad guy, Anton Chigurh, is the one most audiences will remember but i think it is the good sheriff who in the end is visibly shaken from his near death encounter with Chigurh that makes the most impact with me. for those of you out there who hold dangerous jobs you kinda know almost exactly how he feels and why he had to quit. the movie is of course a bit more than that and has more to do with the undesirable consequences of greed and violence.

I have to say i don't get all the whoopLa about this movie.
I just saw it an not figure why it is the Best picture of the year????? Why Javier Bardem won an Oscar for it. He hardly talked and all he did what shoot anyone he cam in contact with.
The pace was so slow that one of the people i was with fell asleep. of the 5 people watching it not one liked it.
Slow and it had no point except to shoot people.
