Nirvana - Unplugged In New York (DVD, 2007)

Still one of the most amazing unplugged performances ever! If I could give it a 100 stars I would!

If you have never owned and cant buy anything else during the recession, buy this and sit and home and watch it and save money going out.

It's that good of times! For sure!

This is an excellent view of Curt Kobain and Nirvana, showing a depth to their personalities not seen in other works. A very well laid out live performance, all done in single take. A little eerie to watch, makes you feel up close and personal with the band. I certainly reccomend this DVD to any Nirvana fan, or any fan of mellow music.

this concert, by chance , ended up being the 'perfect storm'.
a high-energy grunge band being asked to play unplugged is an unlikely scenario to create a classic, but that's exactly what happened..
not only did the band show it's real in-depth talent to perform under
scrutiny, kurt cobain, spiralling downward both physically and spiritually,
poured what left he had of his soul into this masterpiece......
with the exception of possibly a couple of tunes, you are held
spellbound...
this should be a part of every music lover's collection.

I bought this for myself and my boyfriend who is a HUGE Nirvana fan. We are both very happy with this DVD. The originally aired MTV session pales in comparison to the DVD. Everything is so crisp and clear. It was great watching it and I hope that others do the same! = )

This is a MUST OWN dvd for fans of Nirvana. Just make sure you buy the OFFICIAL released dvd, and not the crappy bootleg version.

The music is timeless and fresh after all these years. I love the casual references between songs and the rehersals. These guy are cool and had a good time making music.

I never even received the product!! Total scam. As soon as I realized I was never going to receive the Nirvana DVD the seller had erased all of his accounts and practically fell off the face of the earth! Buyer beware!!!!!

i liked everything about this, especially all the behind the scenes footage it was really cool.i can't really think of anything i dislike about it except they didn't play "rape me" which is my favorite song from nirvana.i bought this because i am a nirvana fan and a even bigger fan of acoustic stuff

I highly suggest reading Heavier than Heaven a Kurt Cobain bio, before watching. Puts alot together. Very intriguing!!

Love the acoustic sounds! Great DVD to own! This is a must see for every Nirvana fan! I watched it on my 42" plasma with BOSE 5.1 Surrond Sound and cranked it up loud so the neighbors could hear it as well. I suggest the same for everyone else.

This is the DVD of Nirvana's Iconic 1993 Unplugged Performance . I Bought the DVD because I own the album and have listened to it many ,many times, and I was Curious if the DVD added anything . It did ! There are Rehearsals and a couple of songs not shown on MTV . There is a mini Doc about the Session .And the who concert is mixed in Dolby 5.1 . I wish they would added another Documentary I had seen on MTV sometime back.. But over all I was very happy with this DVD . And buying it on eBay saved me more then half of listed purchase price..

Maybe Kurt was just at the right place at the right time. Maybe he was a sloppy guitar player. But he was a good song writer and he was honest. Call it Nirvana. That's what it is.

Nirvana unplugged was to me then what it is to me now. An honest performance of a band at its best that spoke to a generation and more.

Call Cobain what you will. He is the Elvis and The Beatles of a later generation.

And just so you know, there hasn't been an artist in rock as big since.

To finally see the entire concert uncut in the pleasure of my own home is a blessing. As a bonus, you can view the original aired version. The rehearsals offer insight into how the night was played out. See why Kurt was worried about screwing up 'The Man Who Sold The World', and why 'PennyRoyal Tea' was a solo performance. See for yourself why Nirvana Unplugged is a testament of time.

I've been waiting for Nirvana Unplugged to come out in DVD since the 90's, and is finally here. I have the VHS and and I finally get to replace it with the DVD. Image quality is crisp and sharp it got extras, song selections no more of that rewind or forwarding.

totally uncut, unscripted and unbeatable performance by Nirvana! Kurt Cobain playing acoustic style from his soul. Two members of the Meat Puppets make a guest appearance to play a couple of their songs and add to this Unplugged epsisode in a way that I can't imagine could have been any better... even MTV says that this performance was the only one they had ever done with no outtakes or do-overs or editing. This is one one of the best performances of any band EVER and will always be!

This includes the MTV concert in it's entirety. This was very well done. Watching this will give you a new appreciation for Nirvana. The DTS sound will really test your equipment!

Every die hard rock fan must have this dvd....I decide to buy this as I love Nirvana songs and Kurt Kobain...
He should be put in the Music Hall of Fame

Positive:One of the best Nirvana concert, because the simplicity of the music and the new songs.
Negative: Not all the Nirvana hits.
Neutral: Two unnecesary versions of the concert (the standard and the MTV version),because they are the same thing.

DVD was awesome. tons of great acoustic songs. Really impressed. Nirvanas greatest songs all together in one DVD what more could you ask for

I have always liked Nirvana. But this dvd goes over the top! The selection of covers are amazing! Kurt Cobain is truly a remarkable musician. I watch it late in the evening to relax and stimulate the senses.

Excellent concert, well worth the money to buy the DVD,just to see a classic artist at one of his finest moments in music history,his songs and the life he lived will never be forgotten.

I've always been a Nirvana fan so buying this DVD was just adding to my collection. With songs like 'come as you are', 'dumb', 'all apologies' and 'oh me' and 'lake of fire' originally by the Meat Puppets, Kurt Cobain and his band does an excellent job at performing these hits and you get to actally SEE them do it - on DVD. I suggest for any Nirvana fan to buy this DVD.

I can still remember laying in bed holding my girlfriend as we watched this concert on a daily basis, sometimes two or three times a day.

She's away for an entire year due to DCF custody sending her to brattleboro retreat and I am so glad I got this DVD for so cheap so I can watch it and remember her, and remember the legacy of Kurt Cobain.

I remember when this first aired on mtv. It was a hit then and is a hit now. Love kurts remake of bowies man who sold the world.
