Nintendogs: Dalmatian & Friends (Nintendo DS, 2006)

I really wanted this game when a friend of mine let me play it at school. I got a pretty good deal on it from Ebay and received in good timing.

The game is adorable and they are similar to real dogs, sort of. They get fleas when they're dirty and they get hungry more than once a day. I like that you can find presents as you walk them because it does not happen every time, so it's suprising. I do not like it when you meet up with "neighborhood dogs" while you walk them because you cannot skip it or get out of it. The game has a timer on how long the dogs bark at each other. All it does is make the walk longer. I also like how you can make them run rather than walk to speed it up.

To be honest the game gets a little repetitve. it's cute at first but there's only so much to do that you end up doing the same thing over and over. It's not like it has levels, only points so that you get new products or dogs.

I like this game but I end up putting it aside for awhile and coming back to it just because it feels like a chore when you do the same thing each time. I have my own dog who does different things every day, like pee on my mom's bed! Now that's realistic.

I like how this game actually teaches you about how to take care of a pet. I like to wash the dogs and take them for walks. If you are on a walk you may find items that are common to a fire fighers hat. Its great. Lots of fun for long hours, especially on long road trips and on planes. Recommended.

My boyfriend and I just recently bought Nintendogs: Dalmation and Friends for our new DS Systems. I couldn't wait to get it, but my boyfriend thought it would be really dumb. It turns out that even he likes it and he is very picky about his video games. It also has been one of the only games for DS that I've noticed great graphics! If you want a dog, but can't have a real one, seriously, this is the game to buy! I am absolutely in love with this game and you can choose from so many different breeds on this particular one: Boxer, German Shephard, Dalmation, Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier, and a Beagle. Great game! I love it!

This is such a great game for any age. When you first play the game you have to choose what dog you want. Then you can purchased, food, water, toys, hats, clothes or just about anything for a dog. You can also bathe it and take it for a walk. Dog shows if how you make your money for your puppy, so you can also train your puppy. It's pretty much like taking care of a puppy on the DS. I love this game and I know you too.

My children and myself love this game. It is appropriate for children and helps them care for an animal to feed them and give them water and bath them.

My 8 yr old nephew saw his neighbor playing this game and asked me for one. I was skeptical because I looked into it and it didn't sound too appealing to me, like something that kids would get bored with quickly. I happened to get Nintendogs Dalmatian & Friends when I was purchasing a lot of DS games and it was one of them. I gave it to my 8 yr old nephew and my 7 yr old nephew complained that he wanted one too. I told the 8 yr old to share it with him to see if they both like it enough for me to buy another one.

My 8 yr old really liked it. I looked at it myself and the dogs are really adorable, they look realistic and follow your commands! You can buy items for the dog, take the dog for a walk, name the dog anything you want and train the dog like you would do in real life. Really adorable. But how long will that last? It has been a week already and they haven't gotten tired of it.

There are 5 kids on our block and they all have their own Nintendogs and they've had it longer. Like a little Nintendogs club going. My 7 yr old complained he doesn't have his own and BEGGED me for one! I told him I got a new one in the mail and it should be coming this week. He could NOT wait, BEGGED ME to buy it NOW!! I could see that he was desperate. I went out and bought one and figured I'll sell the Nintendogs Lab and Friends that is coming in the mail. He was SOOOOO happy when he got Nintendogs Dachshund. They've been playing it everyday, loving it.

Apparently you can share items with another DS user by downloading their items into another DS user's game. My 8 yr old had collected some items for the dog and was able to download it to his brother.

Definitely worth the buy. Doesn't matter which Nintendogs you buy, they all seem to be cute and adorable. It's just a matter of preference in types of dogs. Kids seem to love it.

This is a nice little game about puppy dogs. It involves adopting a dalmation puppy and then taking care of it by giving it love and attention. You also feed it and train it to sit, recognize its own name ect.... I like this game. My son wanted it for Christmas and he has played with it quite a bit. It can be challenging to train these puppies!! We did figure out that any background noise like the television, stereo ect.., can interfere with the puppy "hearing" your commands. So it is best played in a quiet room. When you get your puppy trained you can take her to shows and earn ribbons. Over all, this is a good non-violent game that has a good entertainment value.

I bought this game for myself and I just can't put it down! It's fun plus it's the best pet game there is. No other pet games have animals that look so real, and it's so easy to play. No complicated directions, you just take care of your dogs. It couldn't get any easier. I definitly recommend all of the Nintendogs series!!

Bought this for my 10 year old daughter. She loves this game you raise different types of dogs depending on which version you buy. Game was easy for a 10 year old to learn with out even reading the directions. Hours of fun training your pet dogs, Go for a walk, Play Fetch, Bath them, Teach them tricks, the list goes on and on. You will not regret the purchase of this game as its a offical nintendo game great quality as always!

Very realistic and awesome graphics. It is neat to see how the game / story progresses. My kids absolutely love this game!

The Nintendogs DC was greatly appreciated by the child who I gave it to. She enjoys playing with it. It was a very good choice for her and she is happy with it. The only issue I had regarding this particular concern I had was that it took a bit long to arrive. I started to become concerned that it wouldn't arrive in time for me to give it as a gift.

I loved how this game taught my daughter that there were more to pets then just hugs and licks. We have Pomeranians and she was never the type to want to do the care of keeping them groomed or fed. When she was walking home a friend told her about this game hence the title. The whole way home she spoke of nothing but wanting this game. I got it for her and she learned fast that there was actual care involved even with a virtual pet. I was surprized when she wanted to help out with our own Pomeranians after playing the game. In Addition it keeps her occupied for hours, which helped on our long flights from Honolulu to the Mainland US.

This is another must have nintendog collection. Same as other version however new dogs to make your day. Dogs include Dalmatian, Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier, Beagle, Boxer and German Shepherd Dog. If you want to see any of these dogs grow, I would recommend this game. =)

It's fun to pick out the dogs and take care of them. The most frustrating part is not having enough money and the only way to get money is to either sell items that you have or to enter the dogs in competitions to win money. That's the only negative that i see in this game

This DS game is my 11 yr old niece's favorite!!! She always is so excited about "her" puppy and constantly shows me what her puppy is up to, what it is wearing and what it can do. :)

Excellent.My kids loved that game.It is about 3 weeks that they play that game and every time it is like a new one.
I hope it will last more than four months so it will keep them busy.

My 7 year old loves this game and will spend lots of time training and caring for her "puppies". Great game!

Teaches kids about value of money, concepts of earning and spending as well as responsibilities of having a pet....great game.

I bought the game for my 6 year old daughter. She loves teaching her puppy to do tricks and taking him for walks. The game was a great hit. I recommend it highly.

This game is great for children to learn what it takes to take care of a dog. My son is has asthma so he is not allowed to have a pet. With this game he get to take care of dogs. He has to feed and walk them. He has to buy their supplies. He can also pet them and train the dogs to enter contests. I absolutely have nothing bad to say about this game. I highly recommend this game for any child of any age.

excellent game. my sister love it soooo much. its great because it keeps her occupied. She really likes all the things you can do.

excellent graphics! the gameplay and competition are fun and the player gets a great reward from the love of their virtual dog. the game is fun for all ages!
