Wii Tips for purchasing. Think twice before bidding.

The Nintendo Wii is a great entertainment system. It is fun, interactive, and a great way to get your kids off the couch and possibly in to better shape. But is it really worth $400+? Consider the items you are receiving before bidding on a system.
A basic console at any retailer such as Target or Gamestop is $249.99, plus tax. An extra remote is $40 and Nunchuk is $20. So to get set up with a basic two player system will cost you about $350 with tax. Keep in mind that ALL new Wii consoles come with 5 games. IT IS INCLUDED. This is not any type of bonus you are going to receive for a listed item.
Also, many listings will say "14 games plus 2 remotes" This is because the console is being sold with the Wii Play title. Wii Play is an addition 9 simple task games that is packaged with an extra remote. The retail price for Wii Play is about $49, but you could possibly find it for less.
Consider the comparison
Target - Wii $249.99
Wii Play w/extra remote $49.99
Wii nunchuck $19.99
TOTAL + %8.25% Tax $346.37
This system would be exactly the same as other listinga you see as "NINTENDO WII CONSOLE + 14 GAMES + 4 CONTROLLERS"
As far as availability, Target was the best for me. If you call your local stores in the morning and speak with electronics, they can tell if they are in stock or not. On weekdays, your chances of getting one in the early store hours would be good, with no waiting.
