Nintendo Super Entertainment System

I purchased a used Super Nintendo system here on eBay about 3 months ago and I am very, very glad I did.

I like to play it with friends. I have been searching for good multiplayer games and so far, I have to say that Bomberman 2 (with 4 controllers and the multitap) is my top recommendation for multiplayer games. Eventhough the games are usually only a few minutes long, you find yourself playing it for hours because it is too much fun!

If you are looking for something simple and fun to enjoy with company, family kids, and friends, I think this is an excellent choice.

I have owned many, many video game systems. I would recommend this system over many others for several reasons:
1. The super Nintendo is one of the most durable game consoles. I could go through 3 Sega Genesis or Sony PlayStation (or 5 PS2) systems in the time it would take a Super Nintendo to break. I have noticed that they usually last about 10-15 years with normal use (quite impressive).
2. The game selection is marvelous. This system dominated it's market for many years in the 1990's. Many games that were original to this system (like Mariokart) are still being recreated and resold today.
3. Most of the games are "not too much, not too little" in my opinion. They typically do not suck your life away (like many modern games) from being too involving, intense, violent, and time-consuming. There are plenty of games that can be challenging and rewarding, but more importantly, most of the games for the "SNES" are something you can quickly enjoy, quickly get accustomed to, and play in small time increments. I think this is especially important to consider for children.

1. Super Bomberman 2 (excellent 4-player party game (The original Super Bomberman is also very good))
2. Super Mariokart (excellent 2-player "racing" game)
3. Super Mario RPG (very fun 1-player rpg)
4. Tetris Attack (great 2-player puzzle game)
5. Super Street Fighter II (great 2-player fighting game)
6. Super Metroid (great 1-player action game)
7. Equinox (very challenging 1-player action-puzzle game)
8. The Lost Vikings (fun action-puzzle game)
9. Rock 'n Roll Racing (fun 2-player racing game)
10. The Legend of Zelda (fun 1-player action-rpg game)
11. Super Mario All-stars (loads of classic side-scrolling games in one)
12. Mario Paint (requires the SNES mouse, fun and creative)
12. Kirby Superstar (nice collection of mini-games)
