Nintendo Super Entertainment System

i have owned every video game system to date (except playstation 3 and virtual boy), and of all the systems, super nintendo has always been my favorite. my parents bought it for me the week it came out, which was nearly 20 years ago i believe, and it still works as well as the day i got it. this old baby has survived the daily beatings of being handled by kids, stored in a damp garage for a couple years, chewed on by childhood pet floppy the rabbit, and even having water spilled on it. lets see a modern system do that.
nearly all the games were family friendly, and many have a high replay value. there were a lot of great RPG's and puzzle games, and the old mario games are the best. the graphics and sound were cutting edge at the time, and are very bright and colorful--much nicer than that strange brown tint most games have nowadays.
if you're a parent thinking about getting a video game system for younger kids, buy this. its easy to hook up, the cartridges are much more durable than discs, and you can get the classic games really cheap on ebay or at garage sales.
