The Game Boy Advance SP is my pick for the best handheld system on the market. Sure - the PSP is cooler. But its more expensive. The Nintendo DS is awesome - but its much bigger.

its ok but nothing compared to the ds. people who buy sp are not thinking right. the ds is only a few dollars more but plays both advance and ds games. The advance games are not of good graphics at all. The ds plays super crisp 3d graphics. Check out games like super mario 64 ds and metroid prime hunter. Plus with such great innovation in the form of 2 screens(one being the touch)it opens the doors to such amazing kind of games like nintendogs(One of the best Ds games). The sound quality of the ds is so astounding that when somebody is behind your character in any game, you actually feel the sound is coming from behind you. With options like world multiplayer, it brings gaming to a whole new level. So people, wait for like 2 weeks, save some money and get a good deal on a nintendo ds.

I bought this because it was such a good deal. This game boy works very well. The light is bright enough for most use indoors. It is a little hard to see outside. This game is nice and small for portability. Kids of all ages are able to use this product easily. For the money this is an excellent product.

This system is great to have. There's light in the screen so see better in the dark, but you can turn it off with a button. This system uses it's own special battery that you need to charge, that's good so you save on normal batteries. I bought this in Onyx black but I bought the shell for pearl blue, this is also a plus for this system so you can have it any color you want. It was a bit hard to change the shell but it works great still. Plays in wide screen, normal Gameboy games have the black on the sides, or you can stretch it out by pushing the L or R buttons. Great system to have for any gamers who like hand held games.

I purchased the original game boy advance for my son as a starter handheld. I decided to try it and was very disappointed because the screen wasn't backlit! I ended up going out and buying the GBA SP and it is MUCH better! Fortunately all the games I had purchased for the original GBA work on the SP so it wasn't a total waste! Don't waste your money on the original GBA, purchase the SP! I will only run you about $20 more and it's well worth it!

It has a brigther screen then the first game boy advanced.And its a fold top so you can take it anywhere!

I love playing solitare with my GB Advance SP so much so that I end up having to charge it almost every night! I purchased it after much research. I have an original GB that no longer shows a full screen but the games all work fine and I found through research that the old games play just fine in the GB Advance SP. Great purchase, no regrets.

i like this sp because you can fit it in ur pocket and has awsome graphics if i had enogh i would probaly bid up to 250.00

This is one of the low end handheld gaming systems of the better quality systems(the worst of the best) Its small, compact, and fits in the pocket. It has decent graphics, great games, kids love it, and it has a very useful light that can be turned off and on with a button. It has great kids games for kids age 4+. zIts a must buy

Great product !!!!! Very Durable. Easy to use. This is the second system I have bought. Plan on buying two more for my 7 and 8 year old. Great gift for all kids young and old.

I bought this for my 5 year old a few weeks ago. He loves it. His old one (same model...different color) was great too and very durable. He had dropped it, sat on it, thrown it into his backpack. It still worked great. Finally, it bit the dust when he dropped it in the toilet. (clean water thank goodness) Would you believe the Game Boy still worked after the toilet episode? Once it dried out (and was sanitized!)...it continued to work just fine for several weeks. (Then became very unpredictable- would shut off in the middle of playing a game and was frustrating to my child)

Previous to this product, he used an old GameBoy Color. The Game Boy Advance SP is by far a better product. In addition to the extreme durability, the addition of the back light eliminates one of the greatest detriments to the original game boy. In addition, the outer shell closes to protect the screen from scratching when the product is not in use.

The only disadvantage I know of is that the GameBoy SP is becoming difficult to buy new. With the introduction of the DS Lite, (my older child has one of these_ AND I think it is not built sturdy enough for small, careless hands) the Gameboy Advance SP is nearly impossible to find anywhere except for Ebay- and then- not new.

Gameboy Sp. Very good handheld, if you like game boys get one, small and compact. I have a black one this one looks though...

Bought one for both of my Grandsons, they love it and have had hours of fun, playing their favorite games.

The GBA SP system is an excellent handheld system. It plays both Gameboy color and GB Advance games. I still have my SP even after getting a DS and on occasion will still bust out my SP to kick it oldschool with a GB Color game.

If your looking for a system for a child that tends to break things, right here is your system. Nintendo still releases new games on the SP. In fact, many of the games that are released for the DS have a GBA version as well, not all though.

The SP has a rather extensive library of games all at a reasonable price (something that can't be said for the competition...) that children of ALL ages can enjoy and add to that the fact that you can buy GB Color games for this bad boy and you've just doubled the gaming library. Nintendo doesn't seem to be dropping the SP any time soon, new games keep on coming.

This is a good investment for those who don't want to shell out over a $100 bucks for a DS. Though I'd recommend the DS, the SP is still alive and kicking!

I have purchased 5 of these in my time, and do not regret getting any of them I have not had a problem with any of them I believe they were built to last they were worth every penny I spent. They have entertained my kids for hours, and they can keep a charge like you wouldn't believe. The screen my not be very large but not super small either but it it nice, and bright and clear. My kids never complained about any visual problems while playing it, and I must say one of the 5 I purchased was for myself so I got a lot of hour of entertainment to, and never had a problem with seeing the screen. I would recommend getting these for your kids especially for when going on trips they will entertain the kids, and keep them from auguring with each other and bugging you on your way to your destination I'm sure you parents know what I mean. I have sold, and or selling my kids Game Boy Advance SP because either they have out grown them or they have upgraded to Nintendo DS. If you have kids, and want to get them a system that will last, and will be worth the money well this is the system for you especially if they are young kids. These system are just awesome!!!!

This is the best Nintendo hand-held game system ever. It comes with a lighted screen, even if it's dark out, you don't have to necessarily have to have the light on-the screen is always illuminated and you can always see it. The games are great-you can play Game Boy, and Game Boy Advance games.All-in-all, this is a great game system and would be great for anybody from all ages.
