Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult (2008, Paperback, Reprint)

It shows you that you don't know what bullying can do and what an effect it can have.
High school Kids need to read it.

I loved Nineteen Minutes! School shootings are devastating, but the author approaches the subject matter with respect for all individuals involved. The twist at the end was shocking, but it really fit the book. The detail the author goes into makes the words jump off the page so you can literally see everything happening before your very own eyes. I loved it!

The used book was in great condition. The book was received within a week, as indicated by the seller. I will be happy to purchase from this seller again.

Jodi Picoult does it again with Nineteen Minutes, a story centered around the topic of bullying and the path of destruction that it can lead to. As often found in Picoult's novels, this story is narrated from mulitple viewpoints allowing the reader to develop an understanding of each character and how their experiences shape their actions. While there are certain aspects of the story that were predictable, I still found this to be a page turner, mainly due to the fact that the narratives are written in a manner that make you feel like you're developing a relationship with each character; you want to keep reading because you care about what happens to each of them. Picoult always does a fantastic job of making the reader challenge their views on topical issues.

It is a great book full of twists. The story line is very easy to follow, and the ending is completely unexpected. I love the book and recommend it for anyone!

This book is beautifully written, and is a great read. Jodi Picoult is an amazing and talented artist, who uses her craft to entice people to open their minds to ethical questions that would not normally be crossed. If given the chance to read this book, i would encourage others to.

a friend of mine read the book and told me it was a very intresting book.i have a son going into high school next year.....it opened my eyes....i cried with it.i couldnt stop reading it ..i took it to the gym,i would get to work early and read it in my car...i also would recomend the book to any one that has a teenager..

As a long-time reader of her books, my one disappointment with Picoult has always been how often her endings seemed to fall apart into stereotypical or "pat" solutions, when the rest of her writing, up to that point, would be so very, very strong. And yet, I KEPT buying her books, because she did everything else so well - solid, compelling characters, great plots (until those endings), riveting events. I kept rooting for her. I knew she had the chops to produce a solid book, from start to finish, without those letdowns at the end (and I'm sure others will disagree with me about the endings, as she IS a popular writer. jodi picoult's book is awesome. this story is similar to the others, only different. once you pick up the book you will never want to put it down. if you have read any of her books you've got to read this one. if you have never read this athor, then start here.

This is the first book I've read by Jodi Picoult. I thought it was excellent, kept my attention all the way through. Since I have read it, I have purchased several more books by her, and look forward to ready them all!

I decided to buy this book because I'm doing a read with another friend and we discuss certain parts of the book. Some parts are dull and hard to get through, while other parts are funny, and page turning and I can't put the book down. I love the detail and the language. Jodi does not hold back on the language, and that makes the book even more realistic with todays society. This book is a great read and I hope someone can enjoy it as much as I am.

I loved to story line. It was amazingly realistic!! Allows you to see the different sides of the story. I bought the book because I love this author and would recommend her. She is talented!!

Jodi Picoult is an excellent writer. Of her many outstanding books, "Nineteen Minutes" is at the top of the list. What an exciting, well written book! Picoult takes current topics and creates such believable characters that you feel you are a part of the tragedy. Her characters have such depth you feel you are "in their heads". Picoult's story lines are exciting, tender and everything you want from a fictional story.

Nineteen is an amazing novel; it is a definite page-turner. The real life issues faced in this novel are very eye opening. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent book! I am a huge Jodi Picoult fan and this is definitely one of her best books! You really feel like you know the characters. Very touching story!
