Nikon Speedlight SB-50DX TTL Flash

More features than I have had time to look at. Flexability between flim and digital for both my cameras. So, far it does everything well.

I was hoping for better light. It is a nice flash for some things, but I really should have bought a 600 or 800. This just does not have enough kick for what I need it for. My son can practice with the flash though, to help him learn studio light, etc.

I love this flash. After 25 years of doing photography with film I decided to try digital. This flash makes digital so easy. I love this thing. I would recomend this flash to all who have a Nikon Digital camera!

I've used the flash extensively since purchase. I've found that there is a one f stop underexposure difference between the correct exposure and what the flash outputs. I can work around it, but I can't say I'm pleased about it.

This is an excellent flash. Works perfectly with my D60. I've had absolutely no problems with it. Really makes a difference in the quality of the pictures taken with it in use.

The SB-50DX is definitely not a professional flash by any means. However, for an ameture photographer or the weekend enthusiest this is a great flash to have in your bag. It's size is on the small end of flashes in its category. It holds most of the features of the larger, more expensive units. And it produces wonderful light that can be adjusted to most settings whether indoor or out.

I am using it on a Nikon N75 film SLR. The built in speedlight is not that great so I needed something with more oomph. This speedlight works very well with this camera body. Like I said before, perfect size.

Usually I do not use very much a speedlight, unlike in extremely hard situations to shoot a foto. So since I bought the Nikon Speedlight SB-50DX TTL Flash I have only used it for a half dozen times and ever with great success and without great image compromises what is the most important in a flash for me

flash arived very well packed, with original box and packing sleeve, and original manual. condition was not like new but indestinguishable from new. Makes my collection of nikons shine!

A super flash, with unique features ( allows use of camera's built-in flash at the same time, for example ). Made for Nikon's first series of Dslr, ( up to the D200), but can be used in manula mode on later models.

A great first ( for older models ), or second flash.
