Nikon N50 Film Camera

Very easy to use. Gives great pics. I can swap between full manual mose to auto very easy. One draw back is the flash recycle time, it is pretty slow if you're trying to take some action shots that require a flash.

The N50 was my first Nikon SLR. It was very easy to use and the picture quality was excellent. One can go from a very simple method of shooting to advanced as skills are acquired. I sold my first N50 and progressed up through N70, N80 and N90. I regretted ever selling my N50 and consequently bought another to add to my series. Now my grandchildren are trying to use it because it is so simple. Can't go wrong with one!

When the camera first arrived I was hesitant. I'll be honest. I put in a roll a film and I started to take pictures. The camera sounded a bit sluggish and I was worried that it wasn't working correctly. I took a whole roll of film of various situations in Manual, Automatic, etc. I got the roll developed and I was quite surprised how crisp and clear the pictures came out. I used 200 speed color film, Fuji and Wow! The LCD screen is very easy to use, read and understand even without an owner's manual. I was able to figure out how to operate this camera without reading a manual. If you see a Nikon N50 buy it. Make sure it works. You will not be disappointed. The flash is a little slow but you can purchase a Nikon Flash if you want a faster response time. Recommendations are: Nikon SB-28. A wonderful camera for beginners, too! Enjoy!

I have several point and shoot options ranging from canon, fuji, nikon etc. Including the p5100 (which is my favorite) This camera CAN work almost exactly like a point and shoot. It CAN be used with manual options on almost everything as well for the more advanced photographer. This is my first SLR and so far I am hooked. The viewfinder is fantastic, clarity of the pictures was wonderfull. I couldn't be happier with this camera as a Beginner/Enthusiast.

The only Con I can think of is that (like any camera) at the very least a cheap bounce flash is needed unless you're in good outdoor lighting.

The ad did not match the product. It read "NIKON N50 Camera Perfect Working Condition!" I Bid and and won the same camera from jimmie344 #290368231735 and it was not just in perfect working condition, but Excellent Working condition. I consulted a camera professional. My camera "WITH NO REFUNDS ACCEPTED" needs to go into the shop for a cleaning and I need to purchase a new standard lens "Nikon 35 - 80 mm. What bothers me most is leaving a poor review. It saddens my heart, but I needed to tell you the truth. Had it been delivered as advertised, I would have been extremely happy with both cameras. One for me and one for my sister taking a photography class in college. I'm so sorry. But thank you for trying, I guess...? I would have to give serious consideration before doing business with you in the future. I dont want my money back, however a new/used clean lens would greatly renew my faith in you and in Ebay. I am very new at using ebay and probably a little naive, yet other bids won were exactly as advertised. Once again, I am sorry for the bad review, however I was just being honest. If you knew me, you would know that I always tell the truth, especially when it comes to doing business - My word is my honor. Perhaps I come from a very far (1962) different generation with positive values...

Very nice Nikon body just as seller described and a terrific price. $16. for a camera that cost $800. originaly! The seller was very nice and helpful when I put the lens on wrong and got an error message.
