Nikon Coolpix S700 12.1 Megapixel

I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA TWO WEEKS AGO. IT IS A GREAT SIZE FOR PUTTING IN POCKET OR PURSE. THE PICTURE QUALITY FOR ME IS OKAY NOTHING OUTSTANDING, BUT I GUESS FOR A PONT AND SHOOT IT IS ADEQUATE. OF ALL THE OTHERS I LOOKED AT THIS WAS THE BEST.

I decided to buy it after seeing it at Costco. I was attracted to the high megapixels and small form factor. I did no research before buying, but I figured I could return it if I didn't like it. However, it ended up being an excellent camera. The image quality is amazing, and the speed at which you can take full resolution pictures is very impressive (1 second delay between pictures). It has so many photo modes that aren't just a gimmick. For example, I found myself needing to scan a page of a textbook, however my scanner did not work. I took a photo with the camera using landscape and portrait mode. The text was blurry. About to give up, I scrolled through the modes and found one called "Copy". The photos taken in this mode were absolutely perfect. The text and graphics were fully readable on screen and when I printed.
I had photos printed from Target with the pictures I took with this camera on a vacation and they came out stunning. Additionally, this camera is attractive looking and will fit anywhere. It's so small you will forget it's in your pocket. Highly recommended.

I love cause its lightweight small and worth the price, very cool features and different scenes great great camera
the only thing i didnt like is when you see the photos that you have take the lens stands out instead of clossing that is the only think but its a great camera

Excellent camera. Super clear pictures with great video capabilities. The video is also very clear and can record for 30 minutes at a time. This camera is just what we are looking for. We also recieved cables with this particular purchase that allows us to show friends our pictures and video just by plugging 2 ends of the cable into the TV! Nikon in my mind is at the top of their cameras and even allow you to store them on thier server which saves a lot of room on your computer!

This is exactly what I wanted. I like the color and was happy with the product I recieved. I bought the camera for my wife as a present. She was happy to recieve it.

i love it have had good luck with it so far. my grandaughter was here from Flordia and she told me a lot about it . i'm enjoying it.

The resolution for this camera is very good at 12.1 megapixels but there are two things I don't like about this camera package.
There is no photoshop software to lighten, darken or improve your pictures. Also, shots have almost got to be posed as the camera will not take a picture without first focusing on the subject. In other words, you can point and shoot but it won't shoot without first focusing on a completely still object. Most candid shots are not still. I would have preferred the camera didn't have this feature that Nikon thinks is a great idea. My next point and shoot camera will not have this feature.

The older models of Nikon Coolpix can take better picture quality than this model. My expectation was too high due to the number of pixels. I was wrong. I might look for a Nikon SLR model.

I found the coolpix S700 to be a fast camera between shots but not great at all for interior specially if the light is poor. The picture is just average quality.

very disappointed that one week after using the camera the lens was extended and wouldn't retract!!! had to send back to nikon and am out a camera again!!!!

easy to use, takes a really nice picture, multiple setting options that arent complicated to figure out. small and compact yet packs a huge punch for its size. bought as a gift, and she couldnt be happier. someone that wants to take a clear quality picture that holds up to enlarging, will love this camera. yet not so high proced that it takes a hole out of wallet.wonderful for begginers and more advanced hobbiests alike

I gotta say I love this camera!! I have had two other cameras in the last 3 years and this one is by far the best. Takes great pictures! Awesome
