Nikon Coolpix L18 compared to Nikon Coolpix L3

I recently purchased the Nikon Coolpix L18 Camera from an Ebay seller. Camera is compact and easy to use, especially for anyone who has owned a Digital Nikon Camera before. It has many of the same features as my Nikon Coolpix L3 with the same overall dimensions. The Macro feature on the L18 takes clearer close-up images, which was the main reason I purchased the L18. The viewing area is twice as large on the L18 and this is much easier on my old eyes. I paid more for the L3 purchased at a local Camera store a couple years ago. One feature I don't care for on the L18 is that the SD Card slot is hidden behind the batteries, and unless one has very small fingers, you have to remove the batteries first before you can get to the SD Card. If you are like me and take a few images and take the SD Card out to plug directly into your CP for processing, its a small nuisance you have to put up with. I use rechargeable batteries in both the L3 and L18 and both need to be recharged after 12-15 images in Micro mode. Nikon lenses are among the best made in my opinion, and I would recommend their lenses over any camera comparably priced.

      BEST EBAY CAMERA EVER
    Review created: 10/05/08

I love everything about this camera. It is wonderful.
Very large viewing screen but the camera itself is small enough to drop in my purse when yard selling
Automatic setting EASY or change to manual and set your own also EASY
Batteries last forever other digitals I've had eat up the batteries in a matter of minutes.
To transfer pictures you plug it in and the computer recognizes it immediately and asked which pictures you want to transfer. You click and transfer.
The only way a camera could be easier would be if it took the shots itself.
    I love it.
