Nikon Coolpix L100 10.0 Megapixel

This is a great camera for point and shoot and novice users who do not like to change settings before taking photos. The 3 inch screen in clear and bright and works great. The 15 X Optical Zoom is nice for those far away close ups. It is a great all around camera for not a lot of money. I recommend this camera for the novice user who wants great pictures with not a lot of settings needing to be changed. It is not a compact, hence the 15X optical zoom so you would need to buy a carry case but it does come with a lense protector and neck strap. The battery life has been greatly improved with this model as well.

I bought this camera to get better detail on the pictures I take and post on the web. Picture clarity is excellent, this camera is loaded with features that make it versatile and easy to use. The viewer on the back is large enough to get a good idea of what your picture will be. Simple to operate but at the same time gives you the options needed to take a more professional looking picture will all the control. It also takes very good low light pictures without the flash. The only thing I wasn't crazy about is that it uses AA alkaline batteries. It would be a much better camera with a built in rechargeable battery. It will not work with AA rechargables either. It's not a big deal given all the other nice features, but it would have made this camera perfect!

I love to take pics of my kids in action. This is the PERFECT camera. Besides the fact that it is easy to use and takes BEAUTIFUL pics, it is smarter than I am. If I forget to remove the lense cap...it very politely says "Hey Dummy you can't do anything w/the lense cap on, so take it off and try again!" It senses if someone blinks, and lets you know, so you are not dissapointed later. It has ALL kinds of features that I am in awe of. My favorite is the Continuous Sports mode. I no longer take shot after shot trying to get the timing perfect so I can get that perfect pic of my son hitting the ball at the plate...I just use the continuous mode and get the Pic i want EVERY time!!! LOVE IT! Makes my amateur self look like a pro!

I checked out this perticular camera out as far as reviews, very highly rated and the price was comfortable with some other sites. I got a whole lot more for my money with this transaction though. My family and I have used the camera some, it seems to take great pictures and it is fairly easy to use. So far i have enjoyed the camera and I hope to use it for years to come. It's not too heavy to hang around neck and if you keep the lense cap on till your ready to use it, the camera stays flat, so you don't catch the lenses on anything. I really haven't found anything I don't like, not yet any way.

lots of features for the money. Easy to use. big viewer. Stablizing features not as god as i would have liked. Overall I am pleased.

Everytime I shop on EBay for cameras or accessories, I always end up back at Cameta for my purchase. They have the best prices going on just about everything they sell, as well as a fantastic selection. I especially like their camera "packages". I just love the camera, it's easy to use and takes excellent photos. My husband learn to use it very quickly. Excellent quality of photos.

We have 3) L1 point and shoots as well as F4,5 and D1,2,3 film and DSLR's. So we have an objective view comparing Nikons only. At first we thought the L100 would be too big to replace the L1s. Pleasantly not the case. It is no DSLR to say, but will shoot and recover at least four times the rate of the L1. It's battery life is exceptional. The lens is everything you expect from Nikon, high quality and good light transmission. I would recommend a wrist strap instead of a camera strap to get the compact feel. We have had a little trouble getting the white balance set. You have to get off of auto and play with it. That said, it is more on the "experienced user" side. It takes stunning pictures when it is set up to the users liking.

I really like the simplicity of this camera. It takes really good pics and is an affordable price. I am a beginner in the photography world and did not want to spend the big bucks on a fancy camera that I was not sure I would even use, so this one works out great for me.

This is an excellent automatic camera. It has all the features I wanted at a price I was willing to pay.
It's a big improvement on the L1 (Which I like too but not as complete as the L100).

I like the size of the camera. It's still a little on the heavy side. I like that the on/off button is on the top and not the back. My old camera would accidentally turn on because it was in the back. I like the size of the screen but I think I need to protect it so it doesn't scratch. I didn't have to worry about that with the small screen I had before. One of the negative features are if you set it to "easy auto", you can't adjust to use the flash, it decides for you. So, I don't use the "easy auto". It takes good pictures, but I had hoped it took better action pictures.

This camera is amazing for the value. For a point and shoot, it takes amazing pictures without having to go to a bulky and much pricier SLR. Has several picture modes such as portrait, landscape, sports, etc. The sports pictures come out excellent. :) Very happy with it. My son plays soccer and it took 30 pics of him constantly moving and they turned out great. Didn't miss a thing and not blurry. Takes good portrait type pictures as well. Definitely happy with this camera. Thank you Nikon!
