Nikon's 8x40 Action series binoculars are an excellent all-around choice. High magnification and wide field of view gives you a clear, detailed look at faraway objects. Wide Perspective allows youto see a 430 feet wide field of view at 1000 yards, nearly 60% more than other 8x binoculars. These binoculars were designed to deliver bright, distortion-free images. Precision-aligned, multi-coated lenses and anti-reflective internal surfaces minimize light loss. Eyeglass wearers can better appreciate the view, as well, thanks to the folding rubber eye cups. The Extreme feature is significant because it means that the Action 8x40 can be used under extreme weather conditions. It is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for total waterproof, fogproof and shockproof capability. A non-slip, rubberized exterior makes for an easy and secure grip.
