A nice all-purpose lens

As others have stated, this is a nice all-purpose lens. It is lightweight, focuses well, and produces sharp photographs. For the money, you cannot do better.
I also have the Nikkor 18-200 VR lens, which has three advantages over the 28-200: it it an AF-S lens with a built-in focus motor, it has VR, and it goes to 18mm at the wide end. On the minus side, the 18-200 is much more expensive, heavier, and the zoom creep drives me crazy. If it wasn't for the lack of VR, I'd be perfectly happy with the 28-200G lens.
