A novel lens, but one you will love!

Always in my kit, the tiny 16mm f/2.8 fisheye is a handier and more useful lens than you might expect. For many outdoor scenes its nearly 180 degree view provides a panoramic sweep of the scene, and the distortion may be almost unnoticed if you are careful about how you frame the shot. This lens has a character of its own, with rectilinear distortion typical of fisheye-type designs, although this one fills a full 35mm frame. For digital cameras with their half-frame sensors, this may be a practical alternative to more expensive designs for special uses. This is a lens you really need to experience--certainly some love it, some hate it, but its optical performance is excellent. I have been using mine with the full-frame Kodak 14n digital and am very satisfied with its performance.
