Nike Slingshot Tour Fairway Wood Golf Club

This unit is phenomenal. The compact shape and the heavier feeling head allow this club to be easily hit. Using the same mechanics of a long iron swing, you will love how this club forgives and plays for you. I typically hit long irons, though it does take effort to get that perfect launch.

When I bought all new clubs, I thought I would get the matching hybrid a shot. This is like getting a nice 2 iron shot but getting the same result with a lot less effort. This club has a firm *thwack* (or a dead feeling at impact) more so than some hybrids I have used, but do not mistake this feeling for lack of performance. The Mitsubishi shaft (Regular Flex) is very consistent and the quality is top notch. I have had no trouble hitting this club right on the sweet spot from day one.

The only downside to the hybrids is the grips. You may want to replace the grip to meet your standards. The Nike grips, though they look nice, are not the top of the line grips out there, but they will do.

If you are a fader/slicer and require generous offset this is definitely the club for you. The Slingshot's feel, versatility from a variety of lies, and solid (and solid-feel) technology make it a strong contender in the hybrid market, and I would definitely recommend picking up this club here on eBay.

I selected the Tour #2 for use in the fairway for 200+ yard shots and off the tee on those fairways that feel too narrow for a 3 wood. The shorter shaft and less offset make the club feel more predictable to hit than both the 5 wood and the 2 iron which it replaced.

It was exactly what I was looking for and found it on eBay for a price that was terrific. As it turned out I was given another club that matched my set and I put this back on eBay and am being rewarded by selling it to more than cover my original cost. The club (Nike Slingshot) was in excellent condition. I bought clubs for specific yardages I needed to replace other irons and woods. All my purchases have been a good experience.

I am a scratch player who had always been againt hybrids, but when I played a couple of rounds with my buddy's Slingshot tour, I became a hybrid player. This club is easy to hit, and when you hit it, it goes. I carry this one about 245 on the deck and 260 off the tee with the ability to muscle it to 270 or so if I want to. It gives you the distance of a fairway wood with the shaft length of a 4 iron to help you control it. The shorter shaft length allows you to work it both ways with ease.

This is a totally awesome club. It is honestly prefectly balanced in you hand, and it is such a smooth swing. I love this club it is just amazing! The grip is really comfortable and very nice to play with, it is just an all around natural feeling hybrid club. I love it! I bought just the one for now but I will be buying the rest of them to finish off my set.
