Nike Slingshot OSS: Good News - Bad News

I have been playing a set of Nike 2006 Slingshot OSS irons (4-AW, Regular Flex, Steel Shaft) for about 3 months now and have reached the following conclusions.
The Good - If you have trouble getting the ball in the air with your irons, then these clubs are for you. With the slingback design and low center of gravity, just get the clubface anywhere near the ball and it launches like a rocket. A high trajectory on an approach shot is great when trying to stick a green.
The Bad - If you hit your old irons high, look elsewhere for a new set. These Slingshot irons are going to go even higher. This is the problem I ran into. I had been using a set of Nike NDS irons while learning the game but was topping and chunking too many shots. Since Nike positions the Slingshot OSS irons as a super game improvement set, I decided to give them a try. Because of the extra shot height you get with the OSS irons, I have lost 10-15 yards on every iron and have had to drop down 1 to 2 clubs to get the same distance I got with the NDS irons.
My Conclusions: If you need help getting the ball in the air, then the Nike Slingshot OSS irons are for you. If you already hit a high shot, consider the Slingshot Tour irons or even the older Forged Pro Combo irons for a lower ball flight.
