So I read all the hype and decided to visit the local pro shop to demo one of these babies on the range side by side with my Taylor Made R580XD.
Yes, it IS LONGER than my XD, but only on center face & square head shots. Off center shots were WAY off-line and MUCH shorter than the XD. To be honest, I pure maybe 2 drives during an average round (I'm a 12 index) so I prefer a bit more forgiveness than I found in the Sasquatch. Fades became slices and draws became hooks.
I found that the ball flies higher than the stamped loft would suggest - probably the lower and deeper CG thing. So if you're thinking about one you might want to consider going down 1 or 2 degrees from your current loft.
I also found the shaft to be pretty rigid. I've always played a stiff shaft, but this stiff shaft was REALLY STIFF (think Grafalloy Blue or Adilia NV stiff). So unless you like swinging with a telephone pole, I suggest you go down a flex from what you normally play.
I'm sure that many people love their Sasquatch, but it's not the driver for me. I strongly suggest that you demo one on a real range (not an indoor net)before buying.
