I've owned iron sets in the past that range from no name to RAM to Tommy Armors. I've been playing since 1997, but didn't really put in the time and homework to make a difference until 2003. I've always enjoyed the game when I would hit in the 100's, 90's, and now low 80's. Since I got these clubs, I've been able to add back spin to my short irons, loft to my mid irons, and distance to my long irons. These clubs truly are a combination of the best of all worlds. My RAM set were over sized irons that were very forgiving, but they didn't allow me to shape the ball. These clubs invite you to get creative and execute your shots. My set have stiff Speeder Shafts, which blow away graphite and True Temper steel shafts away. In the past I've had graphite shafts and they have snapped on me. These stiff shafts have added accuracy to my game, which has simply helped my confidence in my ball striking. The one thing you have to keep in mind when considering these irons or any other irons, is that if you are not willing to put in the practice, then no irons out there will help your game. In my opinion, The Nike Pro Combo Irons are the only iron set to ever consider.
