The next best thing to cheating!!!

OK folks, golf shouldn't be this easy. Just lay the clubface into the back of the ball and it flies high and far. It also lands balls like a dropped cat! Ever thought of actually attacking a pin from 200 yds with sand in front and water behind? Now you can - and with confidence! No more fear of long par 3's for me and I'm just a 12 handicap weekend warrior.

This is also one fabulous club for getting out of fairway bunkers, deep rough and for bump and runs from the fringe. The escape factor of this club really helps to save par - bogey at worst - when your tee shot is a bit off the mark.

I put the 22* and 26* in my bag and took the 3 and 4 irons out. 22* is 200 yards and 26* is 185 yards. These are actually my go-to clubs. I'd rather hit them than my 5 or 6 iron.

I did find the stock UST shaft a bit too loose. That combined with the face offset tended to set me up with a case of the hooks. I fixed it by putting in the IROD hybrid shaft and it works like a dream.

By the way, hit it like a 7 iron, not a fairway wood. It wants a steeper swing and doesn't mind a shallow divot.

I paid full price for them around the beginning of last season. Now they're a steal on eBay. Go buy one and start getting into your buddy's wallet! Win a few $5 Nassau's 3 ways and it'll pay for itself pretty darn quick!!!!

I read reviews on other sites and saw it in the local golf store. It just felt right. I hit a few balls and I was sold. I, of course, didn't buy at the store but here on eBay. I'm a 16 handicap and I have never been comfortable hitting any of my long irons. I already gave up on my 3 iron and this club gave me that distance I was missing.

What I like about it is that it's easy to hit off of almost any lie. The club just gets the ball airborne and has a nice soft landing. It's also really easy to work it if you have to. When everything is failing, this is my go to stick that never lets me down.

A friend of mine bought some of these clubs new and paid something over $150 each. He likes them very much. I had decided that I needed something to rejuvenate my fairway game and I purchased the 18*, the 22*, 26* and 30* clubs and have removed my 3, 4, 5, and 7 irons from my bag. I keep the 2 iron just to get out from under trees, and the 6 and 8 irons for chip shots around the greens. I'll probably take out the 9 iron as I learn more how to hit these great wood/irons, as I call them. I bought all 4 clubs on eBay for something around $200. Great buys. I actually bought 5, but one of them had too many paint chips for my liking so I sold it and made a net of about $5 on that transaction. These clubs have given me renewed faith in my golf game again. At age 68 I didn't think I'd regain that again. Thank you Nike, and thank you eBay for providing this site.

This club is the perfect fairway wood. In the rough, on the fairway, or off the tee the club gives great distance, and drives straight!

  Nike CPR better than advertised

This 26* club replaced my 4 iron, 5 iron, and 7 wood. It was an easy trade. I hit it straighter and further more consistently than those other 3 clubs by far. I didn't believe the hype at first, especially because the club is 2 years old, but the 2 rounds I played 2 days before the club arrived, I shot 52, 48 for 100, and the 2 rounds I played 7 days after I shot 45-44 for an 89. I hit the 26 and the 22 on about 6 holes out of 18, and not one mis-hit. I couldn't be happier. I have the fairway wood version, not the hybrid or iron wood version. the club head is a little bigger and looks nicer to me at address.

  These things are great

I have four of the Nike CPR Hyrbrid / Fairway clubs. 26,22, 18, and the 3. I only carry a Driver, 6 iron through wedges and these. I don't carry a 3 wood since I got the 3. I am 59 years old, and play to about a 19 - 20 handicap. The 26 replaced my 5 iron, which I typically hit about 165 - 175, the 22 replaces my 4 iron, which I hit about 170 - 180 and the 18 replaces my 5 wood, which I hit about 185- 200. The 3, is good for me between 200 and 210. These things are great off the tee, in the fairway and in the rough. They are absolutely fantastic from fairway bunkers when you have a long iron to the green. Just swing easy and they do the job. I would have to say the 3 is my least favorite because the shaft is about the same length as a 5 wood however is considerably easier to hit off the fairway and rough than a 5 wood or fairway wood. I would recommend these clubs to anyone, but they are particularly great for someone with a 15+ handicap or someone that stuggles with the long irons.
I love them.

I wish every club I own felt like the Nike CPR Wood!! It feels solid in my hands and is the perfect length for playing off the fairway.
Side note...my partners always say: Oh *%@! Mark's using the CPR again!

Love the feel, easy to control for a fade or a draw. It gets the ball up really well off of the fairway. I purchased it mainly for my second shot on long par 4's and short par 5's when the 3-wood is a bit too much and the four iron isn't quite enough. Also works great off the tee box on long par 3's.

  Nike wood hybrid vs ironwood
Review created: 01/04/07
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Im a 5 hcp and can hit my 8 iron 155 with a high trag. I use the 22 (220) yards and 24(200 yards) degree Nike scooped hybrids and a 21 degree Nike ironwood (215 yards) This clubs like the other reviewers have put height and consistancy into my long approach shots with very soft landings. The scooped hydrids are straight shooters and moderately difficult to shape your shot. Point and shoot, easy to hit.
The ironwood again is easy to hit but it does provide the option of drawing or fading the ball. But mistakes are more pronounced also.
Not all the hybrids are in my bag at the same time as I choose clubs depending on the course I play. If you simply are looking for a easy to hit straight hybrid the scooped version is for you. If you want some workability the ironwood is a good choice along with other hybrids like Hogan,TM,Callaway,Mizuno, etc.
As always shaft choice is important so a fitting will give the golfer the best peformance.

CPR works well in the fairway or in the rough!
Review created: 11/09/06

The Nike CPR Hybrid is a great alternative for the long irons. I am a mid handicap player so I find it easier to hit the hybrid than the long irons. I have the 18,22,and 26 degree hybrid's to replace the 3,4, and 5 irons in my bag. They really work great out of the long rough and still work well on the fairway. The long rough can not wrap around them like it can on an iron. I find that the scooped back design is easier for me to hit than some of the other hybrids. The regular flex works the best for me because I am not a big hitter. I generaly hit a 5 or 6 iron from 150 yards. Mike in Merrill

  Amazing
Review created: 09/30/06

Only thing 2,3,4, and sometimes 5 irons are good for is lightning rods. Ditch your long irons and get these hybrids. Extremely forgiving and easy to hit. I get in moods were I like to watch my ball fly before I hit it and with these hybrids they still fly. Not only fly, but dead straight, and looking like they was shot out of a cannon. From any lie they are amazing. You can chip with em around the greens, keep it low under a branch, and no longer be scared of that 200 yard shot, or that tight fairway. The shaft is short like an iron for better control, but the wood shaped head offers the trajectory and forgiveness of a wood. I have the 22 & 26 degree models. One of my buddies has the 18, 22, & 26. Another has the 22, 26, & 30. There's a reason tour players are ditching the long irons and switching to hybrids...they shave strokes off your score period.

Great club. Very easy to hit. I have replaced three other clubs in my bag with
this club. I have two of these now, a 18 and a 22 degree and have taken 4 long irons plus my 3 and 5 wood out of my bag.

  It's almost unfair....

I bought the CPR 26* a couple months ago and is now the confident go to club when the 5 wood is too much. I almost feel as if I'm cheating! It's that easy to hit. It takes practically no effort to get it in the air, carry great distances, and generate soft landings. I can't help but smile every time I hit it! My biggest problem is just allowing the club to do the work and to not force it. I have been playing golf for a short 3 years and as many others, struggled to get the long shafted clubs under control. No adjustment period at all for me with this club. I strongly recommend this club to anyone who struggles with long irons. 3, 4, and 5 are out of the bag.

I am happy with the purchase of the club. It has helped my recover from bad tee shots. The seller was great with all the steps in the shipping and explanation of the item. I would recommend this club to anyone who has a little trouble with par 4's or par 5s where your tee shot drifts off of the fairway into some deeper rough bc this club is great at saving yourself on some difficult holes.

Nike fairway wood hybrid 22 degree

This is a great hybrid. I bought it for 155 - 170 yard shots that were getting difficult for my 3 and 4 irons. It is a heavy club, but gets the ball high and is best when you don't try to hit it too hard. I ocassionally hook the ball too much, but mainly when I close the club too much or try to hit the ball too hard (swinging too hard is a problem I have fought since I started golfing).

It's so easy to hit. Much easier than the low irons. It works so well I'd like to find another with a few degrees less loft. I'm pretty tall so all my clubs are over length, but even at standard length this is the best long iron replacement I've ever used.

These Nike hybrid fairway woods can be hit a mile and very accurately. Very good from fairway lie or in the rough. Easy to get airborne with a very soft landing. Always hit these good. Much better than the "iron wood" hybrid; at least for me.

Nike CPR's Have replaced my irons 3-6
Review created: 01/08/07
by:
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I originally purchased a 26 degree to replace my hard to hit 5-iron. I have now replaced my 3-iron with a 18 degree, my 4-iron with a 22 degree, and my 6-iron with a 30 degree. I couldn't be happier with these clubs and would recommend them to anyone who has trouble hitting higher irons and can't hit a normal shaped hybrid well.
What more can I say other than my golf game would've continued to be with the longer irons had I not discovered the Nike CPR's. I do prefer the cavity back ones to the iron woods though.

  Nike CPR Scoop Back Hybrid
Review created: 01/03/07

1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I like the looks of the club at address. What I don't like about it is the headcover- too difficult to put on. It hits easy, gets the ball airborne, is very forgiving almost to the point that its a little difficult to fade or draw. I chose it over other hybrid designs because of the scoop back. It looks more like a golf club than a funny looking stick.
