A Night In San Francisco by Van Morrison (CD, May-1994, 2 Discs, Polydor USA)

This album is often overlooked by music lovers, but it is a great collection of Van MOrrison blues and jazz numbers from a single night of great performers. An array of blues and jazz greats make this collection a must have.

What I like about this Recording is its fresh brassy live accompanyments. I cannot deny that his voice has always facinated me...all the way back as a kid waiting for my daily morning school bus with a fresh baked brownie in hand down at the Hickory Hop...Listening to THEM singing "GLORIA"...Then he hit big with me and "Brown Eyed Girl" So many Praises go to my MAN VAN as he has accompanyied me to this day and yet I haven't had the honor of a live show so this will and might have to do NOT! The show starts with "I BELIEVE TO MY SOUL" because thats when his accompanyment, his voice find their groove and the house warms up and shuts up and listens! This cd is really exciting to listen too and will bring great entertainment to what ever Van Morrison Fan you find yourself being! All I can say is you won't be dissapointed and you might get lucky and find yourself thinking your hearing Jim Morrison of the Doors singing Rhythm and Blues or can it be a spiritual channeling of sorts with the keyboards riding along in the same moments! What a treat REALLY REALLY! Get it you won't regret it I Promise..
