A Night At The Opera by Queen (CD, Sep-1991, Hollywood Records)

This is definately one of the best of the bands releases. You'll find the widely popular song "Bohemian Rhapsody" on this but in my opinion (as a fan of the band for 30+ years) there are many more tracks on this cd that are equal to this very well known tune. Take Brian Mays' "I'm In Love With My Car" as an example, its a great melodic song that pays homage to the feelings that are stirred by the freedom of driving (in his case at the time a Jaguar) a finely tuned automobile. Giving the listener a great flowing feel, and balancing both hard rock and soft sounds, with the intimate vocals of Freddie Mercury, every song on this disk is a true classic. If your a Queen fan, then this cd is a must own.

I originally received "A Night At The Opera" as a birthday gift when it was first released in 1975....I was 12. I immediately loved it, and became a big fan of the band (up until Hot Space). The album is pitch perfect, reflecting the personality of every band member who contributed writing and ranges from delicate and endearing pop sentiment of "You're My Best Friend" to thunderous, balls-to-the wall rock (Death On Two Legs.... & Bohemian Rhapsody), without sounding contrived or inauthentic. The variety and scope of Queen's song writing, talent, intelligence and showmanship are perfectly captured here making it the timeless classic it is and deserving of it's well earned and deserved place in rock's pantheon of outstanding recordings.

In my opinion one of the greatest recordings of all time. Queen covered the gamut of music rock, jazz, you name it they covered it. If you have seen the classic album episode about this recording you know that no synths were used in the recording. Brian Mays guitar tone is the best ever, a must have recording.

I'm a life long Queen fan. I have had their albums on vinyl, 8 track, cassette, and now CD. This by far is the Queen album any one new to this most underrated band should start with. Not only does it have that song featured in Wayne's World, but there are other songs here that surpass that by a large margin. If you are a fan of all types of music, then this album is sure to please. Rock, opera, ballads. No album has such variety. Buy it and live a better life for having done so.

This CD is a must for every collection. Sure, it's kind of corny, but it's great music, too. I regretted letting my album go many years ago and was pleased to be able to replace it with the CD.

The CD came in a good shape, original packaging, just as it was described in the specifications. The package came timely.

I love this CD!! I had it on 8-track back in the late 70's and I love it as much now as I did back then !! Vintage Queen - a great mix of tunes! I think it is THE BEST Queen CD. Who would have thought one of my favorite CDs would have the word "opera" in the title!! EXCELLENT A+++++++

I purchased this for my Queen collection. Most cuts are stupendous, but my favorites are "Seaside Rendexvous", "The Prophet's Song" and "Love of My Life". Perhaps my least favorite wouild be "I'm In Love With My Car".
