Night at the Museum (DVD, 2007, Full Frame)

This movie is non-stop excitement, history, education, and fun til the end. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleaness of this movie with the given cast. It is a heartwarming story of the bond between fathers and sons and all they overcome to bridge the gap. This is not just a "guy" movie and is ideal for all ages.

My grandson really loves this movie, and it was hard to find. I got it on ebay at a reasonable cost, and he loved it.

If you are bored and dont wanna think.... this is the perfect movie. The movie doesnt make much sense but its very entertaining. Perfect to watch with the family and kids.

Personally... i thought it was lame...well the story line was. But it was entertaining.

Night at the Museum is a movie about unemployed Larry (Ben Stiller) and him desperately wanting the respect of his 10 year-old son. Larry takes a job at the Museum of Natural History to try to gain some stability and keep a place close to his son. When Larry decides he finally wants to make this job stick, he uses clever and interesting ways to keep the peace and destruction down to a minimum. The “advice ridden” and responsible presence of Robin Williams was great. Robin was toned down and believably smitten with Sacagawea. The film is filled with excellent CGI museum displays running amuck and wandering the halls. There was so much to see I’m sure the family will enjoy this movie much more upon DVD re-viewing. In the theater, my 6 year-old son cheered aloud when he saw Owen Wilson (Shanghi Knights, Shanghi Noon, Cars) as a cowboy with his feelings on his sleeve. With him was Steve Coogan (Around the World in 80 Days) and also present briefly is Paul Rudd (Clueless). I have to admit that the presence of an actor named Ricky Gervais as the Museum director seemed to have a “cameo feel” I just didn’t get. He received way too much screen time and attention, especially for someone I had no idea who he was, coupled with the fact that he was totally unfunny and a bad actor to boot… well, it was painful to watch. The three old guys playing the former security guards were just that, the director could have saved some money and cast just one, although hearing Micky Rooney (The Black Stallion) calling Ben Stiller “butterscotch” was pretty funny. I missed the chemistry between Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller present in their other movies (Zoolander, Meet the Parents), probably due to the fact that because of the special effects, neither really shared screen time. Owen and Steve did sneak in some funny references to other movies that the kids definitely won’t (probably for the best, shouldn’t) catch. Don’t forget this is a FAMILY film and you will like this movie.

Funny move with a unexpected twist. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it on cable, so I ordered the DVD for my fiancee, who loved it.

This movie was so amazingly great! I loved every bit of it. Ben Stiller is good in this movie. Wish there were more men out there like the character he played. I cant wait to see the second part.

I very much liked this film. A lot of good actors were in it and it was not inappropriate for kids in any way. Very good family movie.

In the beginning the movie has a soft, short, and confusing movie plot that does not offer the movie goer a good reasoning for the animals, and people coming to life in the museum at night.

Maybe the writer thought that since the movie was made mainly for the younger audience, that much effort into a good story plot would be a waist of time.

I think the writer did a disservice to this film, also to the younger audience, because children are more the wiser than we assume. I'm sure more kids than not were left asking more questions after watching the movie, because of the lack of a solid beginning; you know a cause and effect kind of scenerio.

Over-all the movie was interesting

This movie is great all-around. Ben Stiller keeps his comedic character while keeping it G-rated. Awesome movie for the family. The plot is also very original, and it keeps you laughing for the whole ride.

This movie was recommended to me, and I sure didn't want to buy it full price at a store. I have found DVD purchases on ebay to be quite affordable, even less pricey than movie rentals. This was a great buy for us! My 11 year old loved it. The movie was used, but in excellent condition. My son has watched it completely through several times since we bought it, and he likes to look at specific parts over and over. We definitely got our money's worth on this one. I think even if we had watched it only once it would still have been a good purchase. Great seller, fast delivery. Thanks for the opportunity to review my purchase.

Ben Stiller does an excellent job of acting in this movie along with Robin Williams. Great family movie! Watch it. You,ll love it!

Love the movie, my grandson laugh thru most of the moive, he 18 months old. Would deal with this person again, on Dvd's.

I saw this movie when it first came out and really enjoyed it. Many scenes made me laugh and it was a lot of fun to watch. I recommend it!

This is entertaining for the whole family and it's one of those movies you really need to purchase to get your money's worth. The reason being you need to see it several times to catch all the quirky statements, after you gather the corny, but realistic "moral to the story." Yes, there is even a moral to the story.... while being very humorous. What could be better than that?

saw parts on TV. Enjoyed it and kids enjoyed it more. special effects were done well. enjoy Ben Stiller movies even though they are silly.
