What A Night! A Christmas Album by Jr. Harry Connick (CD, Nov-2008, Columbia USA)

I have Connick's first two Christmas albums and love them. I rushed out to get this one when I heard it was available. I have to admit that I was mildly disappointed. Although I really enjoy the song with Connick and his young daughter - Winter Wonderland, and he seems to warm up as the album goes along, I found that he was trying to put too much of his own style into the first several songs. He adds a lot of "jazzy-ness" to Christmas classics. While I normally enjoy his talent, I found myself missing the more traditional sound. Overall, an average to good album, but certainly not his best Christmas album.

I was a little dissapointed with the music. We have his other Christmas album and the songs were terrific.They were not the usual Christmas fare that you normaly hear.This one was ok but not up to the standard of the previous album.

I have always loved Harry Connick, Jr. I heard him on a talk show the week before Christmas and he was promoting this new CD. I immediately went on EBAY to find it and buy it for myself. Have been very pleased. Would recommend it for everyone.
