Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by David Levithan, Rachel Cohn (2007, Paperback, Reprint)

I saw the movie of the same title, not knowing it was a book first, and thought I should read it. While many elements differ from the movie, I find myself liking the book a bit better than the movie. The characters are not so flat; in this book, they are growing and learning about themselves at every turn, rather than falling into stock profiles and stereotypes.

My only complain is the overuse of the f-word. I understand that young adults of a certain age are wont to use such language, in hopes of sounding like adults, but I believe the writers took it a bit too far. I recognize their effort to emulate 18-year-olds, but the profanity was on the precipice of excessive.

took 11 days to ship and two more days to arrive - I paid right after the auction closed. POOR POOR POOR SHIPPING - product good. No customer service either - I emailed twice and no reply - I was the only one at the birthday party without a present because THEY ARE SO SLOW!!!

Great book! If I'd known the movie was based off of a book, I probably would have tried to read the book first.

I wanted a chance to read the book before the movie came out. It was such a sweet story (use of language is questionable) and keeps you reading. The unique perspectives of both Nick and Norah switch every chapter so you see both sides of an event.
Very good buy.
