New York Salsa - Beginner Dance Instruction Vol. 1 (DVD, 2002)

Juan and Diane have created 3 volumes of New York Salsa guides... Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced/Professional. I am an athlete and was able to watch the DVD's and teach myself to dance in the same style as the more advanced local dancers (without private lessons). My friends dance the New York Salsa Style (rock step forward, replace/pause, rock step back, replace/pause) as opposed to the (side to side style) of Cumbia Salsa. I keep buying additional copies of the Beginning Volume of New York Salsa to give to friends who want to learn how to salsa dance. Practice makes perfect and these are the perfect Salsa dance instruction DVDs.

I thought these DVDs were excelent instructional giudes for the begginer salsa student. they were very simple in the basics and practical to take it out to the clubs to practice. You have to start somewhere and I found these DVDS to be one of the best instructional in salsa basics.
