Well look what we have here, a new Super Mario Brothers game. The Super Mario Bros. franchise is 20 years old and they still are making fun and innovative games.
-Story-
Mario and Princess Peach are having a nice stroll around the Mushroom kingdom when the castle falls under attack. Mario, being the hero that he is, runs to help out at the castle. Leaving Princess Peach all alone to be kidnapped yet again. Thus starts your wonderful quest to rescue Princess Peach. (She needs self-defense classes)
To describe this game in one word WOW!
Witty, thought provoking puzzles.
Outstanding music. And graphics.
Wonderful gameplay. Great use of humor, like when you defeat the mini-castles and you see Princess Peach get dragged off to the main castle.
There are lots of secrets to discover on your quest to save the princess yet again.
Multi-player mini-games are great!
Now the complaints, I have 3.
1. Too short! I beat the game in less than 15 hours! Come on Nintendo!
2. Single player mini-games are not as good as the multi-player ones.
3. You cannot unlock any more games. What you start with is what you get.
Graphics / Music / Gameplay - 10/10 – What a great experience!
Overall 9/10 – It could have been perfect, if it was 15 more hours of Mario Goodness!

1st of this game is just plain fun. simple as that. now too break it down more complex:
graphics:holy crap you would honestly think this was a psp game. no joke. these are some of the crispest graphics i have seen on the ds yet. and the framerate never slows down. 10/10
gameplay:mario's gameplay has always been perfect and it doesnt change in this title. the controls are just as well as any game out there.10/10
ds capabilites:and what i mean by that is how well it uses the ds's 2 screens to its advantage. and it does it pretty well. metroid does alot better though. you move with the D-pad. therefore the only thing the bottom screen does is it shows how far you are in a level i.e. on a huge line, a mario head is on it like a arrow.and it shows how many stars you have for that level. and just for your info. there is 3 stars per level. and you use them to buy different routse to the castle. 7.5/10
naustalga factor: this game really does feel like im back as a little kid playin mario 1 on the nes! in a good way. the levels are still basic yet intersting and sometimes challenging. and there is new power-ups to add to the fun factor. 1 is a shell similar to a koopa-koopas shell which is really fun killing them with by the way. and another one is the mini-mario powerup. it shrinks you down to get to certain areas of the level. and the last is the super-huge-mario power-up. it makes him ginormous and can just run through the entire level and never gets hurt.10/10
this game certainly does have a good length too it. it feels exactly right for a mario game. the boss battels are great and they are all fresh and differnet.
overall i would give this game a 10.5/10 if it was possible. but since its not i shall give it a 10/10.
it is an instant buy for any mario fans or nintendo fans. and i truly believe this will be the killer app for the ds.

We loved the game! Its the same classic Mario style we all love with some additional moves, items and features. The classic sounds are also present on the game!!

This is a new and interesting way to play Mario. I like this game alot i have no dislikes about it. The have definitely made it interesting for the game. It is worth the money for hours of fun on your DS.

Are you ready to play?
This is yet another exciting version of the continuing Super Mario saga. Full of surprises and rewards....and of course, MINI GAMES!!!!!
First of all, the I must say that the mini games make this series what it is today. They afford much needed variety and re-play ability.
Graphics are better than they should be on a mobile system with limited ability.
Stylus or no stylus? Put the stylus away! Although you can use your stylus to control the game, it is much easier to just use the finger control pad.
over all I give this game 8.5 out of ten stars. There is always room for improvement in video games although this one is at the top of its game!
Looking forward to the next Mario game!!!!!

This game is one of the all time best around. If you were from back "in the day," you know what I mean. It was the best thing happening. If they still made them like this we probably would have a lot better society.

Mario is back
A few days ago, some guy said to me " what do you think of the new super Mario bros" , i punched him in the face, and said when he woke up, it the most amazing game ever. The graphics are excellent. It very challenging and a very long game, some levels make me want to smash me ds, but i get over it. I like all the bosses. And i thank the creators ( Miyamoto ect...) for making it a 2-d game, i think 3-d would be a little over the top. like i said it great, sexual sound effects and it definately a game worth buying.

The only downside is the 'save' part. I had to keep playing and playing and everytime I wanted to 'quit', it would tell me I would lose my unsaved data! I found out you can save only if you complete a castle, tower, spend your coins OR BEAT THE GAME! I finally beat the game! And I can save anytime I want to! That's your reward! I suggest you go try beat the game, then once you're done, you can go back, take your time collecting the coins and save everytime you do. The ending of the game was great!
In order to get to worlds 4 and 7, you need to beat the browser in the last castles as a tiny mario in worlds 2 and 5.
I just beat the game 100%!! You get 3 stars when completing the game 100%:
1st star is just for completing the game.
2nd star is for collecting ALL the coins.
3rd star is for completing all the secret exits & spending ALL your coins.

I really love this game. The best thing I love is being able to battle with another Ds owner. My son and I challenge each other all the time. Only Mario and Luigi can battle though. There are 5 different battle areas you can either pick yourself or have it automatically pick for you. I only wish you could battle with more opponets at a time.
The mini games allows up to 4 players. There are several categories to choose from, with all kinds of games.
BEST THING! You only need 1 cartridge and can download the games onto other DS Lites.
I have always been a Mario fan so I love it when new Mario games come out. This one is one of the best.

I love this game. it is just like playing when i was a kid but with new additions. i play this game more than anyother game i have bought. i would recommend this to anyone who remembers the first Nintendo!!!

This is a fun Mario game. But, then again, I like pretty much all of the Mario games. You have to figure out how to unlock different worlds. The graphics are good too.

If you have ever been a fan of the Super Mario series, this game will not disappoint. Great level designs and unique power-ups keep this game fresh. The saving system can be a little tedious but you'll soon find ways around the imperfect system.
This game is a great addition to anyone's list of DS titles. Almost a must have.

I love this game! My girlfriend and I are into playing DS games lately. We bought this game after reading some reviews actually! This game is everything that it lives up to! I bought it because we wanted an adventure game that would take awhile to finish. It provides hours and hours of fun with non stop action! You never really know what the next world is going to bring and its fun for all ages! I would recommend this game for kids to adults! I still haven't finished the game, but that's what i like about it!

HAH this is great! I used to play Mario on the old NIN systems and I was addicted. Now 15 years later I am addicted all over again. Too bad for my hubby he never played it before, but he is addicted now too. It is similar to the original with minor changes. It is a bit hard working the ultra small NIN DS controls but you get used to it. I dont like that it is hard to find a save point but it doesnt take away from the fun factor. This one of the few video games I actually enjoy.

We got this game for my daughter's b-day. It was a salesman's suggestion. I used to play the game when I was younger on a Super Nintendo. My husband and I got so into it I had to buy another Nintendo DS. After that I decided to buy a used Super Mario Bros. on ebay so we could be able to challenge each other. My daughter, who is 4 is almost a pro, she enjoys it so much. I definitely recommend this game to anyone.

My daughter wanted this game so much and is so happy with it. Tons of fun and various games to play. Even the adults in the house find themselves playing a few of them as well. Don't hesitate to buy this one if you are a Mario fan or not. It's loads of fun and was cheaper to buy on ebay than in the store.
