New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS by Nintendo.
Well look what we have here, a new Super Mario Brothers game. The Super Mario Bros. franchise is 20 years old and they still are making fun and innovative games.
-Story-
Mario and Princess Peach are having a nice stroll around the Mushroom kingdom when the castle falls under attack. Mario, being the hero that he is, runs to help out at the castle. Leaving Princess Peach all alone to be kidnapped yet again. Thus starts your wonderful quest to rescue Princess Peach. (She needs self-defense classes)
To describe this game in one word WOW!
Witty, thought provoking puzzles.
Outstanding music. And graphics.
Wonderful gameplay. Great use of humor, like when you defeat the mini-castles and you see Princess Peach get dragged off to the main castle.
There are lots of secrets to discover on your quest to save the princess yet again.
Multi-player mini-games are great!
Now the complaints, I have 3.
1. Too short! I beat the game in less than 15 hours! Come on Nintendo!
2. Single player mini-games are not as good as the multi-player ones.
3. You cannot unlock any more games. What you start with is what you get.
Graphics / Music / Gameplay - 10/10 – What a great experience!
Overall 9/10 – It could have been perfect, if it was 15 more hours of Mario Goodness!

1st of this game is just plain fun. simple as that. now too break it down more complex:
graphics:holy crap you would honestly think this was a psp game. no joke. these are some of the crispest graphics i have seen on the ds yet. and the framerate never slows down. 10/10
gameplay:mario's gameplay has always been perfect and it doesnt change in this title. the controls are just as well as any game out there.10/10
ds capabilites:and what i mean by that is how well it uses the ds's 2 screens to its advantage. and it does it pretty well. metroid does alot better though. you move with the D-pad. therefore the only thing the bottom screen does is it shows how far you are in a level i.e. on a huge line, a mario head is on it like a arrow.and it shows how many stars you have for that level. and just for your info. there is 3 stars per level. and you use them to buy different routse to the castle. 7.5/10
naustalga factor: this game really does feel like im back as a little kid playin mario 1 on the nes! in a good way. the levels are still basic yet intersting and sometimes challenging. and there is new power-ups to add to the fun factor. 1 is a shell similar to a koopa-koopas shell which is really fun killing them with by the way. and another one is the mini-mario powerup. it shrinks you down to get to certain areas of the level. and the last is the super-huge-mario power-up. it makes him ginormous and can just run through the entire level and never gets hurt.10/10
this game certainly does have a good length too it. it feels exactly right for a mario game. the boss battels are great and they are all fresh and differnet.
overall i would give this game a 10.5/10 if it was possible. but since its not i shall give it a 10/10.
it is an instant buy for any mario fans or nintendo fans. and i truly believe this will be the killer app for the ds.

This product was ordered and charged to my Visa on September 10,2008. Estimated delivery was between September 19-September 29th, 2008. The item posted as being shipped, but I have never received the item even though three e-mail attempts to the seller have been sent.
I am not a frequent buyer from e-bay, but all other transactions have been excellent. This is the only one in which a product has not even been sent.

I played Mario Brothers as a kid on Nintendo. This game brought back a lot of those memories. It exceeded all my expectations and now my daughters play this game as much as I did as a kid!!! GREAT GAME!!!!!

Best DS Game Ever!Are you ready for some classic Nintendo Mario Bros. action?
The gameplay in this new Mario release is just as addicting as it ever was, you can easily spend hours happily running around jumping and squishing Goombas, all the while chasing Bowser Jr so that you can rescue Princess Peach.
You will enjoy your typical world styles such as dungeons, cloud worlds, sand levels, underwater and more. Of course there are several additions such as the Koopa shell that Mario can wear, Mega Mario and Mini Mario... but I'm not going to spoil everything new in the game.
Of course since its in a Nintendo DS there had to be something done with that touch screen we all have come to know and love. So while in a level it displays your progress in the level, when in the worlds you can use it to have a map overview and as a quick way to change worlds. Oh and did I mention that as a bonus there are a load of minigames that Nintendo has added in to use with the touch screen!
Now that I've covered single player its on to the multiplayer. Ah the wonderful things you can do on the DS! Yep, you guessed it the New Super Mario Bros. is a single cartridge game. That means that if you and a friend each have a DS and only your friend has New Super Mario Bros. you can both play it. You would simply download the multiplayer portion on to your DS via the wireless conection and viola! Now you're both battling it out as Mario and Luigi.
So I'd have to say that if you are a Mario fan then you should most defineatly buy this game.

classic with alittle extra flavorI grew up playing this game as a kid and now greatly enjoy it again. My little ones especially my little girl even at three loves it. Adding alittle extra like growing huge and tiny makes for great add on to an already great classsic.

The game starts easily enough but gets harder as you progress. This game is great for all ages as my son is 5 and loves it. Very imaganitive and thought provoking as you try to figure out different levels with all the hidden things to find. I give this game a excellent rating.

very addicting when you wait for your kid to wake up from his nap :) the only sucky part is it's relatively easy to beat. i had to look up a few "cheats" online to figure out how to unlock the worlds 4 and 7, but that's about it. it was FUN :)
