The New Strong's Complete Dictionary of Bible Words by James Strong (1996, Hardcover)

THE BOOK I WANTED WAS FOR BOBLE WORDS THAT COULD COME OFF THE PAGE AND UNDERSTAND IF ONE COULDN'T GET THE MEANING FROM THEIR BIBLES. FOR INSTANCE, THE OLD KING JAMES VERSION HAS A GREAT DEAL OF WORDS ONE CAN'T UNDERSTAND AND YOU CAN LOOK THEM UP IN THE ENGLISH AND THEN UNDERSTAND WHAT THE WORDS MEAN. BUT THEN IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE THAT CAN'T READ WELL AND NEEDS HELP WITH WORDS THEY WANT TO LOOK IT UP IN THE GREEK OR HEBREW THEY WOULD BE STUCK.
IT'S A GREAT TOOL AND I AM GLAD THAT I PURCHASED IT!

In trying to learn the truth I discovered problems and discrepancy in every English translation the the Bible. Yet 2 Tim 2:15 tells us to study the Word, being able to rightly divide the Word of truth. It was then that I began looking into the original languages for the answers... and there they were! I bought this Dictionary to help clarify my study using an interlinear bible with Strong's numbers.

This dictionary is well planned, well organized and easy to use. It even has the definition of biblical names. It breaks definitions down to English, Hebrew and Greek - a vast resource of information beyond simple definitions. A great tool!

One complaint: Digital versions of Strong's Dictionary distinguish between Greek and Hebrew numbers by prefacing each number with either a G or and H. This book does not do that. I found myself searching for a number in the Hebrew section when I was looking for Greek.

the book is in excellent condition, reasonably priced and is exactly what i needed as a tool to further study God's Word and draw closer to Him.

A must have for Bible studies and sermon preparation! Gives clarity on meaning of words in the King James Version. Although you may have a Strong's Concordance, using this book will be easier if you also have a Hebrew/Greek Keyword Study Bible.

The book is an excellent book to use while learning the bible. The New Strong's Complete Dictionary of Bible Words gives you the definitions of words that are sometimes difficult to understand when following the word. Strong gives a person the definition of words and much more to give a better representation of what is being studied.

This dictionary is really in depth and not for the faint at heart. It has all the Greek and Hebrew you can ask for. It is nice to have the explanations of the words right at your fingertips. I find myself being distracted sometimes by going so in depth with a verse and its word meaning that I can spend hours on a couple on verses dissecting them and then forget where I was going in the first place. That is a good thing in a way! This book is an exceptional work and I highly recommend it to anyone who desires to pull the whole meaning out of the scriptures.

This is an extremely helpful tool for all serious people who are studying the Bible, no matter what the reason! The newer version has the lexicons in it, but "it's all greek to me!"

The dictionary arrived in a timely manner and in excellent condition. i use it quite often in my studies as i am growing and learning in the Lord. i hope to be entering Bible College soon!

This is a great bible study book. I have had 3 different types. This one is by far the best study bible book I have had.

This is an invaluable asset to my ministerial library. I have several other comparable dictionaries and lexicons but needed this one in particular to fill the gap in my resource materials. I realize there are many limitations in the book but for my purposes it is very helpful.
