New Moon by Stephenie Meyer (2008, Paperback)

This book is the continuation of the first book "Twilight". Once again, I'm impressed. Edward loves Bella and decides to leave, because he thinks is not safe for her to be around him and his family. She goes through the pain as the months pass by. Now that Edward is gone, she decides to look for her old friend so she doesn't feel lonely. Yet, Bella doesn't know that an old enemy is looking for revenge. The book continues with more suspenses that will leave you breathless.
I highly recommend this one!

This is my least favorite in Meyer's Twilight series. However, after reading the entire saga and reflecting back on the story, I know the situations told in New Moon were imperative. If you loved Twilight, you'll like New Moon... just another step in your vampire journey! :)

The Twilight Saga has become a pop culture phenomenon!! New Moon is the incredible sequel to Twilight and it doesn't dissapoint! It starts out a few months past the end of Twilight. It's Bella's Birthday party and there is an incident with Jasper which causes Edward to decide to leave for Bella's own safety, not realizing other dangers might find there way to Bella. This causes Bella to go into a deep depression and leans on her best bud Jacob, only things with Jacob are not always what they seem. Jacob is a wherewolf. Victoria wants revenge, and he is the only one who can protect her now. With a series of misunderstandings and unfortunate events, Edward's exsistance is now at stake and Bella is the only one who can save him, or will she be too late??? This book is awesome, but I highly recomend that you read it at least twice. The break up between Edward and Bella can be devastating and its hard to concentrate on the middle of the book. You might find yourself skim reading waiting for them to be reunited and miss the important relationship that is being formed with Bella and Jacob. When you read it the second time its much easier to pick up on things you may not have acknowelaged the first time!! I highly recomend this book to anyone!!!

Excellent Book! I bought the first book and couldn't put it down. I know it was geared toward younger readers, but I love Sci-Fi. What if? What if vampires did exist, what if they could come out into the light, what if....

I am a naturally curious person and I had to see what happened in the second book when the vampires give her a birthday party. Being naturally clumsy she falls on the cake table and cuts herself while in a room full of vampires!

Can't wait to read book number three!

Other people who have read this second book in the Twilight series had warned me not to be to excited about it. That it was not nearly as good as the 1st or 3rd books. So I braced myself & boy, was I surprised! I LOVED it! It was def. as good as the 1st book. You met new characters & saw a whole diff. side of Bella & Edward. It tells an important part of their story. GREAT BOOK!!

I absolutely love this book!! It is so enticing! I could not get my nose out of it, one moment I would be so tense, another I would be crying, another I would be crying and another I would be oh my!!! I love the twilight series and I am now ordering the last two books and it makes me want to cry by saying last two, I wish they could go on and on!! I can read her books within 24 hours without putting it down and when I finish I can't get my mind off of the characters.

After reading "Twilight" I couldn't get this book fast enough. It was good, but personally not as good as the first one. Edward disappears for awhile and honestly after reading this book, I like Jacob Black even better than Edward. Crazy? Maybe, but it's just my opinion. : )

I thought the end of this book was really the only part worth reading. The beginning just seemed to drag on. I have read the other books now and I see why the first 300-400 pages is necessary to carry out the plot for the other books, but it just seemed to drag on for forever! If I had to give a suggestion to a future reader I would tell them to read a spoiler for the first half and read the last half. This book was by far her worse one. The third one was pretty good and the last one was pretty excellent.

I bought this book because I had read the first one, Twilight. New Moon was a great follow up to Twilight. I am looking forward to reading Breaking Dawn and Eclipse.

This book, New Moon by Stephenie Meyer, was an incredible book. I purchased it because it is the second book of the Twilight Saga, and because I am addicted to the Twilight series--it's incredible! I loved the book because it is well written and has an amazing story line.

Not as good as Twilight~~ Gets much better towards the middle of the book~~Writer does an excellent job though of letting you feel exactly the heart break that Bella is feeling...

This completes my series and I'm in love with this series. The book came to me as used, but it was in such good condition, that it seemed like new.

This book was as good as the first one, probably better. It is a fast read because you just can't quite reading. It's page turning excitement. Fast delivery had it in about 2 to 4 days from when I ordered.

I love all of Stephani's books, I loved New Moon. After reading Twilight I could not wait to get into New Moon. It met all of my expectations. I have read all four and they are quite addictive. Do not pass up the time to read this set!

The book starts off where the first book ended. It is very exciting in the beginning but later turns to be upsetting and then boring. The boring part contains important information (legends are discussed), you must stick with it because you will need this understanding for later in the book as well as for the third book. After you go over this hump, it gets exciting again and that excitement continues to grow throughout the remainder of the book. Make sure you have book 3 prior to finishing book 2, because you will want to jump right into book 3 upon finishing book 2.

I loved Twilight, but New Moon had me looking for the intensity of Twilight and it wasn't there until the last 150 pages or so. I will keep on reading the series, but I hope to be hooked in like I was with Twilight again with Eclipse.

This book is fantastic. I started Reading the book when I saw that the movie coming out said it would be better then the Harry Potter series and I had to read for myself. Guess what? I still love Harry Potter but these books have made it into my library as my second favorite. Great book. Definitely get this book if you like a little romance, suspese, and twists and mythical legends.
